Not sure how many of you caught last night's NBC game but they had their vote for player of the week nominees.. One defensive player on the list: Brian Urlacher??
11 tackles, 1 int..

JT goes out there has 5 tackles, 1 sack, 2 forced fumbles and an interception for a TD and gets no recognition nationally? Well I guess Urlacher's 11 tackles were the key to beating the Jets.. :rolleyes2

totally agreeable .....darn bears.....jt was the bomb again this week....he is diffentily carry this team on his shoulders.....i ate urslacker:fire:

we're still a losing team. ans taylor hasn't gotten the opportunities to show what he can do in a 'meaningful game.' Although, going against taylor is the fact that when we were making the playoffs consistantly, he did dissappear in those playoff games.

if u watched that whole game last night...during the 4th quarter, a chargers d-lineman batted a ball down and madden quoted "those lineman will try to tip the ball to themselves for the int. seems like jason taylor does that about every week."

Why does that matter if we're a winning team? We're 4-6 and mostly because of JT and our defense....so they should get recogniton because without them, we could be 1-9 or 2-8.

But this is how it always goes, the teams that are winning will get the "players of the day or week" even if non-deserving or a reach.

Madden was joking with Sumerall last night about how one of the teams was needing a big defensive play, and that they couldn't expect someone to get an interception and run it back like Jason Taylor who seems to do it weekly.

All games are meaningful.

I would say the Bears game was a pretty "meaningful game" as they were undefeated and touted as the NFL's best team. JT took over that game. It's ridiculous that the media isn't more in tune with what can arguably be the greatest year ever by a defensive linemen.

We dont even get respect from Miami, listening to the radio in the morning. You tune into Sid Rosenbergs show and he'll say one good thing and then crap on the parade the rest of the time. After we beat the Bears, it was all "its only one win, it doesn't mean anything". And now 3 straight wins later, it still meaningless. Well, as long as we keep winning week to week, theres no reason to think the season is over. And with every win, it should be less and less "meaningless".

LOL.. I am listening to him now and was laughing when he said this win had nothing to do with Joey Harrington and had everything to do with JT and the defense.. And how playoff talk is absolutely silly.. Like you said the more wins we string together the less silly it will sound..

Not even that, but the team hasn't scored a point on offense in the last 2 wins in the second half. But why does that matter, its like he's trying to find something negative. You win as a team, lose as a team. The offense did just enough in the KC game to win and the defense helped win both games as well. It just annoys me that he says good win but....

Why is there always a "but"? I'm tired of him saying he roots for the dolphins as long as they dont play the giants. Its blatantly obvious he doesnt like the dolphins or root for them. He's just dying for them to lose one more game so he can laugh in the faces of every dolphin fan that listens to his show. I actually liked Sid when he was on WFAN in NY, but when he's trashing your team in Miami its kinda annoying.

Actually what happened was a screen pass was being thrown but the play was blown up in the backfield and the quarter back threw the ball at the defenders feet. Madden said he should have attempted to throw it to the running back, but then he said one of those defensive ends could have picked it off and returned it for a touchdown. It seems like Jason Taylor does that every week. I think that is props right there

Only "good" teams stars get recognition. Either that or the media hates to give the Dolphins any recognition, or respect. They have no problem making us the butt of everyones jokes when we suck though.

Oh come on. Jason Taylor gets plenty of respect. As fans, I guess we're upset any time our players aren't lauded quite as much as we hoped they'd be.
