JT Shafted by ESPN "experts" on best Defensive Player

Their a bunch of idiots. How can you not mention the Reigning DMVP?

Let them hype over Bailey and Urlacher..JT will come out and be DPOY 2 years in a row. I hope ppl under estimate JT so he can light it up even more than last year

Rich Eisen, Marshall Faulk and two other guys were debating the best defensive player in the NFL and all four of them said Shawn Merriman. JT and the Phins never get any love whether it is ESPN or the NFL network.

I'd rather have them ignoring the Dolphins and their players, than having them say how great they are going to be. Look at last year, some people had them as the Super Bowl dark horse. Yeah, that lasted a long time. Let them lurk and not be mentioned. That way IF they do well, it will be all the sweeter.

Mabey the "expert's"will underestamate the fins like they over hyped us last year...hopefully put a chip on their shoulder and use it for motivation,

My thoughts exactly. Great post. Some of these people get too caught up in the talking heads at ESPN and their opinions which seem to change as much as I blink my eyes.

A) I'm glad they are over looking us. After last year, really who could blame them?
B) Remember most of those guys are North East Know It Alls (Jets and Patsie lovers) or West Coast Wonders....SO WHY SHOULD WE CARE WHAT THEY SAY?!
C) It will be interesting to see which one of those guys (or how many) jump on the Fish bandwagon if we jump out to around 5-2.

Maybe If JT had been busted using steroids and suspended, they would have called him the best defensive player.

I agree :D

It always seems like the "favorites" always have bad seasons, and there are always sleeper teams, and Miami has the potential to be one IMO (even though right now I have them at about 8-8). However, I still don't care for the fact ESPN and other sports media outlets do not give Miami any respect just to make up for last year. I mean seriously, they totally forgot about the reigning DPOY in their arguements. :tantrum:

When it's all said it done, JT will be in the face of the QB 20-25 times this year and rack up 12-16 sacks, forcing fumbles, and making HUGE plays.
