JT Talks Coaching

Love that JT is out there with the DEs. Glad Jordan is so open to listening and learning too. Hard not to get a lil excited about the DL unit this year.

Like people have been saying since Jordan was drafted, if JT can teach Dion (and the others) just some of the things he knows it could be very beneficial.

Going to bookmark the link for later.... but... Its about Friggen TIme! DJ should have been hooking up with JT Last year..
Ross needs to be feeding a check to JT... and then show some love to Zach...

Can't they just make JT an Assistant DL Coach already and get him on the payroll.

He might not want to make that kind of commitment right now. He is volunteering his time right now to help our players and team and I for one am extreamly grateful. However, he might be keeping his options open in the event someone offers him a broadcasting gig. In the mean time he is essentially working as an intern and gaining experience from a coaching perspective. Who knows, he might take to it like a duck to water and make it a full time career. If he does, I agree with you, there is no better place than Miami.

Taylor Enjoying Serving As Dolphins Guest Coach

To be sure, rushing the passer was Taylor’s forte during a brilliant 15-year career that included six Pro Bowl invitations and three All-Pro nods.

Perhaps not surprisingly, providing pass-rushing tips is what Taylor enjoyed most about working with the Dolphins this spring.

“Having a chance to work with the pass rushers, that’s the best part,” Taylor said. “I’m not real big on the staff meetings and putting together game plans and all that stuff right now, at this particular stage, but being on the grass and getting a chance to help out guys like Dion (Jordan) and see Cam (Wake) again and work with Cam a little bit, even as a player when guys are coming in and helping us out, there’s always a certain nugget of information you can take and try to apply to your game.

“While everybody has their own particular styles — Cam always rushed different than I did, Dion is going to rush different than Cam or OV (Olivier Vernon) — it’s finding what works for each player and trying to find a counter for those kinds of things and learning how to break down the game a little bit so you can make plays before the ball is even snapped, so to speak.”

Absolutely delighted to see Jason getting involved to share his knowledge to help the young guys.
Interesting to note that after Bill Parcells, Jeff Ireland and Tony Sparano showed little encouragement, it is Jason who has ultimately shown his loyalty to the team and is now helping the Dolphins. He was a very great player and he's still contributing - maybe he gets a taste for the coaching role. He's a smart guy. Full marks to Joe and Kevin Coyle for getting him involved. The easy thing for Jason would have been to decline the opportunity. But he didn't - he wanted to help.

we've all been saying that lol. But yeah it's true! The greatest thing JT could teach would be how the heck he became effective at stopping the run! If he can teach that to Dion and add maybe a couple more moves to his arsenal DJ could really be a great player. I love that we have a player that we are comparing to JT that is being trained by JT and can also cover Gronk! Of course right now I could probably cover Gronk! lol

Yeah exactly. He was always a true Dolphin in my eyes, even when he went to the Jets I didn't lose any love for the guy, I just hated Parcells for running him out of town! JT is a great face for the franchise and could only bring good publicity with him (DWTS). At this point we need to get as many well known and loved people associated with the organization as possible.
