As excerpted from an DWTS-related interview: :dancing:

:woot:
Q: If winning Defensive Player of the Year is a 10, how would winning this competition rate?
A: 9.9-Next to my family, football is still the passion of my life!

:err:
Q: Are the trade rumors effecting your dancing?
A: Not at all-I'm too consumed with learning to dance and haven't thought at all about football.

How sweet.. :limp:

the offseason is the offseason for a reason. At least he isn't off beating his wife, getting caught selling drugs, or ever shooting people. Would I rather he was at the facility, sure, but at least he is doing something to keep himself in shape. He should be fit when training camp rolls around, just need to hit the weights.

So he only rates being named the best defensive player in football 0.1 better than winning a dance competition. As much as I want to think he's just telling people what they want to hear, I can't help but think his feelings might be genuine. That's a scary thought. Maybe BP should make JT rush the passer in a mini-skirt next year until he's convinced JT's mind is 100% back on football and is committed to winning.

No, the scary thing is that I don't think JT would mind the skirt.

This is the offseason, just like summer vacation from school, I bet all of you were religiously cracking open your algebra books and working on math problems right?

his only obligation to football in the off season is to workout.

He is doing that, just like Ricky WIlliams did when he was out of football.

just like Ronnie Brown has done while recovering from an injury.

Just like the rookie WR in rookie camp (was is Justin Wynn?) who wasnt in school and held a regular 9-5 before Parcells signed him.

Why doesnt anyone else question all these other scenerios but take JT to task?

So what he's on DWTS, so were hall of famers Emmit Smith & Jerry Rice.....not bad company......and WHO CARES if they were on after their playing careers.

JT will be ready at camp time

Jason Taylor is a maniac, maniac on the floor. And he is dancing like he's never danced before. Im glad he is close to winning, that he will come into camp and shredded 195lbs and be converted to safety. Makes me feel good.

It is a little oxymoronic...He is just trying to tell people what they want to hear. He would make a good John Kerry :rolleyes2:

Well said! I can't stand these guy's questioning him or the type of player he is I guess an 11-12 year career w/pro bowls and defensive player and Man of the year awards aren't good enough. They should try to go out in front of millions of people each week and try something they have never done before, and what's even more impressive is that he has gotten really good at it.

I wouldn't question the type of man/player that Emmit Smith or Jerry Rice are why the hate for JT. It's the OFFseason.

The guy retires before the start of the season or heads to the Pats. Book it.
