ill gaurantee he doesnt expect 10 million a year....all the reports ive heard is 5 years 40 million was what he was asking TB for..and we didnt offer him that either.

YES network talked about it all wekeend since TB was in NY. They said Lugo was nuts and becuase he turned down the $8 mill the Rays wanted him gone by Monday. Said it came from the Rays brass that he turned down that deal.

Guess YES had a good source on that one. It came true.

I heard the same thing. MikeO is right. Lugo is out of his freakin' mind if he thinks he can get anything over 8.

Lugo has played 55 games at 2B, including 8 games in 2004. He made 6 errors, so I think he could handle it. Let's put it this way he can't be any worse than Kent is.

If Kent comes back the Dodgers are going to try and dump him on the waiver wire. Plus with if Nomar out longer than expected then Kent could slide over to play first. Lugo is going to be an everyday player. He might even see time at 3rd base if the Dodgers can't trade Kent.
