we all know he is getting paid ridiculous in JAX... we all know he just fractured his middle finger...

my question is how long do you think he will be out with it? mentally and himself as well in this conversation, knowing how iffy he is playing through any sort of banged up injury. he hasnt shown to be caring towards a team, or working for it... more selfish. thoughts???

Seem to be inline with his knock in Denver, not playing through any sort of injury. Really, my only concern with this guy is if Owen Daniels can pick up where he left off in Denver - since I drafted him in my Keeper league with the hopes that Manning will turn him into a monster.

They are saying he should be ready for the opener.

Owen Daniels is a solid TE yes yes!!!

Thomas though, i am so curious what he will be like though still. and yes he SHOULD be ready for the opener. we will see how tough he will be, and how team oriented he will be.

8/31: actually looking back on this now... I am liking Virgil Green in Denver more than Owen Daniels at this time. This guy can possibly step it up this season and do some damage!!! take over???

and here we go:

Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas is considering having surgery on his finger, a procedure that would sideline the two-time Pro Bowler for at least four weeks.

Jaguars general manager David Caldwell confirmed Monday that Thomas, the team's top free agent acquisition this past offseason, will receive a second medical opinion Tuesday before deciding whether to undergo the surgery.

A source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that Thomas is expected to undergo the surgery.

Thomas was injured in Jacksonville's preseason opener earlier this month, but the Jaguars expected him to be ready for their regular-season opener.
