As described by RobertHorry, coming out of college he was stuck in kind of the no-man's land of being a poor man's Aaron Donald. Scouts and talent evaluators weren't even sure they liked Aaron Donald until he kept slapping them across the face with absolutely dominant play to the point that they finally conceded. They weren't gonna do the same for a Julius Warmsley from Tulane despite his 18.0 TFLs and 6.0 Sacks. He was a guy that played at about 265 to 275 lbs and was known to be athletic (4.80 by reputation). He showed up at the pro day bulked up to 297 lbs but it was a drag on his speed, ran a 4.97 forty (still very good). His explosiveness and agility measures were really compelling though and if you put it all together he might have been the second most physically compelling DT behind Aaron Donald.
He's got a chance. But he's competing against Chris Jones who has more skins on the wall. I do wonder if we can get away with stashing him on the practice squad. If he dominates more preseason games like he did last week, I'd say probably not.
