Let me help you with your confusion, kid. Canada is the HUGE piece of land directly north of you. Canada is a country........yes, there are other countires on this earth. Although a little colder than most of your country, Canada is, like the USA, a great place to live or visit.

I'm not a lumberjack or a fur trader. I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber or own a dog sled. And I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada, although I'm certain they're really, really nice. I have a prime minister, not a president. I speak English and French, not American. And I pronounce it about, not aboot. I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack. I believe in peacekeeping, not policing. Diversity, not assimilation. And that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal. A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch. Boxing Day is a shorter way of saying: A day to get over your hangover and too much turkey before you have to back to work Day. And every store, and I mean EVERY store in the country has super huge sales. Kind of like the day after Thanksgiving down there.
