Sirius Radio was talking about the Ramsey situation and indicated that Miami might get something like a 6th rounder if a team is willing to take on his entire contract.
That could be the thinking.

There are still a couple of potential upgrades at safety in free agency, and I know Miami has been linked to several corners.

That is a good point about freeing up Cap Space.

IF an opportunity presents itself to Miami where they need Cap room then you would move faster.

And I agree that the compensation Miami gets for Ramsey will be on a sliding scale based on how much of his bloated contract they eat.

But we are talking about real money vs Cap space and i care a lot more about the Cap than the actual cash.

Still say if Miami can't get decent value they should just tell Ramsey he's going to have to suck it up and play 2025 in Miami, just has to be professional and unhappy. At least until the trade deadline.

The cap space is significantly more valuable than the draft pick, at this point, barring a surprise in compensation.

Agreed, but that division is a real murderers row. Either way, the NFL is always more interesting when the Raiders are competitive, Pete will certainly make that happen.
