Seau is still good, he hasn't shown many signs of age other than his battling little injuries and losing playing time to them where earlier in his career he didn't suffer those things.
BTW I don't believe Crowder has wrestled a starting job, I believe we're seeing the beginnings of Saban's defensive tinkering which we will pretty much see EVERY WEEK from here on out. For this game, Saban feels it is most appropriate to get Crowder in the interior and Seau out on the edges where he can be even more aggressive. This may be due to Jake Plummer's nature as a scrambling QB, or because we need some extra beef to stop the run against the Broncos' cut-blocking running attack. Whatever it is, we've managed to catch a glimpse somehow of what Saban is planning against the Broncos next week, but I fully expect Seau to be moved back inside in the base D, when it is more appropriate.
