Not because he was so awsome as a player anymore but more because he was an inspration to the rest of the team. I hope he comes back to be a linebackers coach. Thank you for your leadership JR.

I'll miss him, as well. His time here was good, and even in his last two seasons, he was on pace for Seau-esque numbers... shame his body couldn't hold up anymore. :madness:

All the NFL will miss him, me as well. Particularly his inspirational qualities. I too hope he becomes a coach, he would make a good one.

I'm a big a homer as they come. Look half of the time Jr was the second guy to the scene and made a rukus. His last three years (all at miami) were far from his prime. This emotional leader garbage is boring as well, Did we have problems with leadership in the LB corps before he got here, I think not. He's 100% first ballot HOF'er but in miami he weon't be missed, we will continue on with ZT and Channing, and we won't miss a beat emotionally or physically.

Didn't he lead the team most of his time here in tackles for loss?

Not that I recall but regardless he was 2nd to the scene WAY more then he was first. Look I loved Jr in aqua and orange, but the fact is he was in the twilight and it was obvious. He's a great player and a great motivator (Needed or not).

I thought when healthly, he looked quite good, and I remember Zach T. saying how his leaderhip skills and work ethic were sorely needed at the time of his arrival to the Dolphins, In fact, Zach went on to do the same offseason program as Junior, he was not in his prime but he still was pretty damn good.

I'll miss Seau, as well. The man loved the game and had tremendous respect for the NFL. A fantastic player and a classy person. He was able to make an impact in Miami in a variety of ways. I would love to see him coach, but won't be surprised if he joins a broadcast booth somewhere.

HOW COULD ANYONE SAY ANYTHING BAD SEAU? his emotional leadership is boring??? not quite in agreement with you on that one.

Guys,

I have a very strong suspicion that we will be seeing Seau every sunday in the near future. The guy will clearly be an 'analyst' on one of the NFL shows.

I agree with ya Slim..on top of being a model competitor he has great charisma and is articulate in his speaking...the booth is perfect.
