Junior Seau

Yeah, I noticed him on the field in the second half. I sure hope he didn't start the game because he got nothing more an assisted tackle.

He certainly doesn't look like retro-Junior but his leadership on the sideliens I think is still an invaluable quality.

P.S. Off-topic but I've just spent the last 3 and a half hours refreshing the 'beasts in the AFC east' forum, wondering why the hell the site is so dead today.

Yep, Junior played yesterday....but he is clearly on his last wheels. I think Saban needs to grab a linebacker like AJ Hawk of Ohio State if he is available next year...Zach won't be around forever. :(

I think so also. The Linebacker position needs an injection of youth. Crowder is a start, but we need two other young guys. Hawk would be a good choice if QB is not a value pick for us in the 1st round.

Seau is going to retire after the season and Zach probably doesn't have many more years in Miami. He may go onto another team, but he probably won't be here past the 2006 season.

The thought is Zach in any other uniform but ours is heart breaking.

The pats were in 3 wide most of the game. We were in a nickel defense most of the game, thus only playing 2 linebackers. Zach and Crowder were the 2 linebackers on the field.

I have to agree with you guys. We do need at least one but I think 2 are more likely.Sorry to say but as good as JT is he'll never be a great cover LB and if we're gonna play the 3-4 the right way we'll need 2 more lb's out there. Also, why aren't we playing Matt Roth more? How about Vickerson and Manny Wright?I wanna see what they can do.

Ozzy rules!!

The guy was invisible yesterday. Did he even play?

Come to think of it, I didn't see anyone from our starting front 7. They were to busy being manhandled and humiliated by a bunch of no name O-lineman. According to the Miami Herald the Pats left side had 2 rookies and the right side had 2 undrafted FA's.
In a game of this magnitude it is inconceivable to me that our front 7 played with so little effort. You can blame Reggie Howard all you want, but on that long play to Dwight there was absolutely no pressure on Brady. In fact, he was sacked only once for a 1 yd loss and Heath Evans looked like a hall of famer.
I lay the blame for this loss on our front 7. They should have sensed blood in the water and been all over NE's O-line, especially with their short week to prepare.
