According to Todd McShay of ESPN here's a list of guys that have "buzz" going around that they're entering the draft this year:

• Darnell Bing, DS, USC
• Brian Calhoun, RB, Wisconsin
• Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland
• Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio State
• Jason Hill, WR, Washington State
• Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia
• Ko Simpson, DS, South Carolina
• Ernie Sims, OLB, Florida State
• Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin

The only one i'd disagree on is Darnell Bing...he really wants to finish up his college before he goes anywhere, the kids pretty smart i've read like a 3.8 grade point average.

How do you know he wants to finish up his career at USC? I'm a USC fan & I've never heard any of the announcers mention that. You don't know him personally but I'm sure McShay does & has a lot more connections.

Edit: not meant to be rude.

i think we should draft davis even though we have mcmike but put davis as a wide:lol:hes unstoppable

Nah its cool...i read it in a sports illustrated article sometime last year, they did an interview with him and he mentioned his grade point average and how he'd like to get his education. But im sure if somebody shows interest in him in the top 20 he could easily jump ;)

That's a good list. I have a feeling, though, that a few of the junior qb's will declare when all is said and done. Seems like it happens every year. Omar Jacobs, despite his injury, is probably the most likely of the qb's to come out.

didn't bing go to a cc or something like that before he went to usc? he might be close to finishing up.

I don't believe Ernie Sims will declare. He's mentioned this since he signed with FSU, that he was staying all 4 years. He's also been hurt alot this year which would hurt his draft status.

• Darnell Bing, DS, USC-Should leave(Late 1st rounder, but stock for a S isn't gonna get much higher)
• Brian Calhoun, RB, Wisconsin-Stay(1 good year)
• Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland-Should leave (his team is not good, mid 1st rounder)
• Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio State- Should leave (would be bes WR in the draft)
• Jason Hill, WR, Washington State-Stay (2nd day pick)
• Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia-Should leave (1st rounder)
• Ko Simpson, DS, South Carolina-stay (never heard of him)
• Ernie Sims, OLB, Florida State-stay (sub par season, boaderline 1st rounder)
• Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin-should leave (2nd best tackle in the draft behind Ferguson)
