Just a problem I have...

I was just reading the mod edit that was put on DvusFin. I really don't like how he called out the mods with a new thread but I don't agree that he should have a mod edit to his comment to Dan Marino. I didn't see anything that warrented a mod edit. Alot of people come on this board and write stuff much worse than that and don't get an edit. Just my opinion.

I think that when dvus comes back in 7 days and you can read his posts again, you should look up the post in which the warning was given, then read the thread in which he made that post. I think you'll see that it was a warning that was warranted due to verbal abuse of the membership.

Also, if you're a Dolphins' fan, and you come onto a Dolphins' site to talk about the team, and you decide to trash Dan Marino, there's something wrong with your judgment.

And finally, what you saw was just that - what you saw; there was more that went on behind the scenes that you aren't aware of. So while I appreciate your input and your sticking up for a fellow member, there's more to the story than it seems.

I am not sticking up for Nabocane in any sense, but if he sends you to the pine for a while it's for a good reason.:)

Also, if you're a Dolphins' fan, and you come onto a Dolphins' site to talk about the team, and you decide to trash Dan Marino, there's something wrong with your judgment.

True, but there are many non-dolphins fans on this site and do trash talk alot but nothing is done. I just think that if he's trashing Dan Marino's character then that's his opinion. People trash other dolphin players (ex. Reggie Howard, Gus). Yes those players aren't Dan Marino but people still trash them without any mod edit. I did read some of his stuff and I do think a timeout was needed for him to cool down and I don't think he handled other people's comments correctly when they responded to him. I guess my point is that I've seen other people on this board do much worse than him without any mod edit. If this was just because he talked about Dan Marino then others should get a mod edit for other players they talk badly about and don't use good judgement in how they present their opinion. I trust your judgement and fully understand where you are coming from, I think that Finheaven is a great place to come and speak your mind and feel like part of a group even when you live far away. Something is done. The majority of trash talk is moved into the depths. If a mod doesn't see it then it's obviously not going to be moved. If you see someone talking trash in the main forum, report the post and someone will take care of it.

yet you didn't see what was deleted - there's a difference between casual trashing and blatant tos violations - i saw what got deleted and it went beyond casual trashing...
