Suppose that we use the money from the cuts on offense how far would you think that we could get? This is my lineup.

Coaching Staff
HC-Nick Saban
OC-Mike Mularkey
DC-Dom Capers

Offense
QB-Drew Brees
RB-Ronnie Brown
RB-Ricky Williams (supposing he wins the appeals process)
TE-Randy McMichael
WR-Terrell Owens
WR-Chris Chambers
WR-Jeremy Bloom (If we can somehow get this guy)
(Build on O-Line through FA)

Defense
DE-Jason Taylor
DE-Kevin Carter
CB-Will Poole
CB-Ashton Youboty (maybe?)
LB-Zach Thomas
LB-Channing Crowder/J.Seau (at reduced contract)
S-Travis Daniels (don't know if he could be moved here)
(And the rest of defense could be made up of rookies and players we have already).

Basically this lineup stocks up on offense and plays a lot of young players on defense. How far can this lineup get us?
 
yeah I don't think Saban is interested in TO at all.
 
And Jeremy Bloom aint seeing our field with Wes Wonderboy Welker. He should stick to moguls.
 
The cuts were to get under the cap, not to get money to spend on FA's. We still need to restructure and cut more guys to start spending.
 
your missing a couple linebacker, d-linemen, another DB, and an entire offensive line. I don't think Brees would come to a team that doesn't plan on blocking.

I don't know if I would trust a SD fan saying we won't get Brees. Boomer said we would get him. Nobody really knows.

I personally dont see many rookies gettin the start this year. Unless it happens on the oline or secondary. if an agreement isnt reached i dont see many changes besides here and there and through the draft.
 
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but with the cuts we have made we still are a coulple million over the cap. Its going to be very difficult to be a real player in even one of the big name FAs unless we get new CBA which it seems isnt going to happen.
 
the cuts were to get the team under the cap, there is no way we can turn around and go blow it all on FAs like TO. The Dolphins are gonna have to be creative with more cuts and signing people to deals that we can afford. It will be hard to get any FAs at this pace
 
yea every single penny that is going to be spent this offseason will be with plenty of review..we wont take a chance of singing someone like TO....with no new cba deal we will have to be hopeful to make a solid run at brees who would deff. be the #1 FA to bring in

thank flip for that!! hope u r right. i dont want a quick fix which may come at a price. Where is Schulters by the way?

What has this guy ever done on a football field to warrant being plugged into a 3rd WR spot on an NFL team??? From the numbers I saw, he was never better than #3 on his college team. Why in the world would you be begging for this guy??
