First off congrats on starting 3-0, thats a great accomplishment for the city of New Orleans who needs that probally more than any city in the NFL

But dont get overconfident, a few years back the Lions (another dismal franchise) also started 3-0 and everyone thought maybe they had it figured out and they still went on to a lackluster season with no playoffs and a high draft pick.

I hope you guys continue to have success, but dont try and get ahead of yourselves yet because there is plenty of season left

Good Luck on the rest of the way

 how many Saints fans do we have here?

but I do agree with your post. They have some tough games coming up, but they should be proud of their team. They have played very well thus far.

Good Point  but Ive seen a couple, mostly LSU guys that say stuff about Saban

I'm glad the Saints are giving New Orleans a winning football team. I hope they can keep it up.

Did you hear that Colts fans? Bengal fans? Seahawk fans? Bear fans? Charger fans? You may end up like the Detroit Lions.

The Saints aren't the only team who is 3-0. They have as good a chance as the other teams that are 3-0.

Those teams have all had success for the last 3-6 years (most of them it seems, except the Bears) the Saints have been an embarassment ever since they came into the league

saints have a very good young fast defense and obviously tons of talent on offense. they're legit.

The Saints have a good team this year.

I can give a better example. The Vikings started off at 6-0 a few years ago and then lost in the last game of the season to the lowly Cardinals and gave the Packers the division. Mike Tice will rot in hell for that, I'm sure of it.

I find this rather amusing. A dolphins fan telling a saints fan not to be overconfident. This must be a case of do as I say not as I do! :sidelol:
What about all those teams that started 3-0 and finished with a loss in the playoffs or a SB win?
Alex don't you think compairing this year saints to any detriot team is a bit of a stretch?

Well we're 3-1 after a tough loss to the Panthers but the score was 21 to 18. Anyone who doesn't believe Sean Payton hasn't turned this team around , hasn't seen them play. They play smart and give 100% unlike Haslett's Saints who were a collection of not very smart but extremely talented athletes (like Aaron Brooks who has a monster arm but isn't particularly smart) who consistently underschieveved.

Most Saints fans (including myself) felt this team who is rebuilding, with a rookie HC, coming off a horrid 3-13 season would be doing good to win 6 games. Well through some good luck and smart decisions (hiring Sean Payton, drafting Reggie Bush, signing the right FAs) I see no reason to believe they won't be a or close to a playoff team. 9-7 or better isn't out of the question.

Sean Payton has the team headed in the right direction (finally). Payton's choice of SMART, overachievers instead of Haslett's workout warriors is a welcomed change. The Saints hit a grand slam homerun in the draft this year by getting three starters (S Roman Harper,OG Jhari Evans, the steal of the entire draft WR Marquise Colston) and some backup RB named Reggie Bush. Colston was so good it allowed the Saints to trade Donte Stallworth to the Eagles for starting LB Mark Simoneau and a conditional third/fourth pick). Colston has a TD reception in all four games and is incredible at keeping the chains moving.

I don't want to sound like I'm rubbing salt in the wound but the Saints biggest/best acquistion was Drew Brees. He's gotten better every week. After our experience with a gifted athlete who completely lacked a good qb's intangibles in Brooks, Brees' steady, mistake free game management is a welcomed change. He had 300+ yards passing with zero INTs in this loss and kept the Saints in the game. Because of all this I see the Saints as a team on the rise (but I'm hardly overconfident).......
