``Trent is still in the upper 40 percent of quarterbacks. His numbers last year are not relevant because of the change of style in the offense by Herm Edwards. They're (the Dolphins) are a .500-looking team, but they have a chance for the playoffs because Trent understands this offense.''

Just a quote I thought I'd pass along that is showing the Dolphins a little love.

Wow, someone how goes by more than irrelevant numbers taken out of context. If our d is as good as expected, Ronnie and Booker, a new kicker and a new offense with much better play calling I definitely think being over 500 is possible.

Moreover, I don't think I've ever heard collingsworth say anything good about Miami. That was close. Nice change

Trent doesnt have to be a star for this offense - if he makes good decisions with the ball, dosent turn the ball over often, and manages the game then there is no reason why we shouldnt be in every game we play this year considering the talent we have on defense and special teams (Ted Ginn).

Green's been pretty good over the last few years....

I guess noone on this board saw the hit he took last year.

Yes, he's saying.."I'm ready to go coach".....Just like lots of us did in High school because there wasn't much definition between second and thrid string....

Bottom line........

Green is a productive QB derailed last year from a freight train that hit him in the head.

I think Green wil be fine now.

Yep, Collingsworth normally has very few good things to say about Miami. I do think Green is the best QB than what we have had since Marino retired....but we shall see whether this will get us to the playoffs. I think it largely depends how our O-line comes together. Can't wait for the season to start.

That's good point about the changing of offense...You add on the concussion and obviously Trent was going to struggle.

thanks for passing that along...i want to add the fact that he looked like he had been playing with our offense for a good amount of time. he looked great, like he belonged there. in the past there have been QBs where you can just tell he doesn't belong on the offense. Not Green.

7-9, 8-8 or 9-7 is very possible if the defense remains as good as the last couple years. That London game scares me.....it should be a home game, but I'm afraid of it being 80% Giants fans as they are more wealthy than DolFans and more of them will go overseas.

Agreed. I too think he is the best QB we've had since Marino. Hopefully our line will come together quickly and will stay relatively injury free. I think that will be the key to our season. We will definitely have better play calling and a stronger scheme. I think our ground game will be stronger. If our passing game is stronger at all, which I think it will be, we should be playoff bound. We already know what our defense can do.

I've heard that there are a lot of British Dolphin fans. Maybe they can help level the playing field in that respect. I wonder if any of our British Finheaven brothers can shed some light on what the numbers are in regards to British Fin fan support.

Well, that's if you are ProShopGirl.
