Nite Eggman

You are my fav classic Fin Fan:lol:
Right back at u kid!!!!! Until we meet again. To all a good night!

next year with poole back and a FA corner signing, daniels is gonna be a valuable member of the secondary.

as for this year, i now have zero expectations. i dont even expect another win and that includes the saints game. there is no use in getting mad at a team that cant get out of its own way at this point.

Just like you, this guy has no clue. Who the hell is this Rogers that he says is gonna be gone the same time as Daniels??? We don't even have a Rogers??

I sure hope we all did not have great expectations this year for the phins...woulda been nice but it ain't happening....Remember new coach Saban, has been saddled with a lot of crap and sorry boneheads from the wanny/speilman era and he can't just get rid of all of them in a few months, let alone a year or so. His first major move to get rid of Feeley, he is starting to work on correcting the past, but it is time consuming and he must do it when the rare opportunity is available. He can't just go out and cut 2/3 of the team at the start, it is a process and he has to do it over time for talent and business. He is doing the best he can with what he inherited and slowly getting rid of the driftwood. In approx 1.5 to 2 years the phins will be serious contenders but the wanny crap has to be completely purged. Believe me, he is taking notes and the offseason may be a surprise. get draft picks and build a Saban team. We all knew it would not be an instantaneously turnaround. He wanted linehan, and needed a qb that was familiar with his system to at least make a showing this year. He knows GUs is and always was a backup. But he piecemealed together the best he could with what he inherited. The next couple years will come major changes and you will see, we will rise back to the ranks of the elite. Takes time to clean house. Chalk this season and maybe next up to rebuilding the team in Saban's image and then stand the f by. It is disappointing and heartbreaking to see us play bad and lose, but the right components are not there. The only prob, the mainstays, JT, ZT and so forth are getting older and may need to be replaced by then.(i hope not)
But give Saban a year or two...it will take that long to get rid of the wanny stink and garbage.
also this is a learning period for Saban too....it has been years since he was in the pros, and he needs to take this time to learn it all over again as it has changed, just as with Joe Gibbs...the game has changed since he first retired.
So be patient and give him time more than a year.
I predict mare, gus, sage, daniels, madison, rogers and some others will be gone by that time......t

I skimmed your post for the gist of it and it's a good reminder. I know my expectations were to just be better than last year, maybe 6 or 8 wins best case. I also think the 2 wins we got in the three games made many people hope for more than they originally thought. welcome back to Earth now! But as long as we are going in the right direction, it hurts a lot less.

:yeahthat:

That's the same way I've been thinking... it would have been nice to pull a worst to first, like the Rams and/or Panthers did... but that's something that rarely happens.

I tend to think we'll be okay at CB. Daniels will be one and lets not forget about Poole. If Poole can make a good comeback, we'll be fine. What we need is a safety that is willing to lay the big hit. Like...Louis Oliver, John Lynch, Steve Atwater, those type of hits.
