Ok, I'll start by saying I know this may seem to be a little out there and I may be overthinking this way too much but so is half the stuff I have read on here for the past couple weeks so here it goes.

Ever thought that maybe we used Alex Smith to get to Aaron Rodgers. Saban being a very good scout starts bringing in Smith too all these personal workouts and meetings. So SF starts thinking about maybe they should get Smith because Saban has interest in him and none in Rodgers so they know he is going to be good. Not that its a big secret that he has skills but never the less. If you notice all you seen was SF and Aaron Rodgers until Saban had those private meetings with Smith. Then I think we may have been using the Edwards to trade down to 7 and still be able to pick up Rodgers because if Smith goes first Rodgers will more than likely fall to at least 7. It would have been the perfect plan if that is what was really going on. Too bad we cant get Minny to bite. I know its a little crazy and way too deep but what do you guys think?

Its not that crazy, but I have trouble believing Nolan would change his draft choiced based on the fact that the Dolphins liked who was going to slide to them if they took Rodgers. If for some reason that is true, first of all, Nolan should be fired, secondly, there is no way Saban could have know his smokescreens would have that big of an effect. I think Saban wants Ronnie Brown, and has done everything to make people think otherwise..that includes talking about Smith and Calling RIcky.

Yeah I also believe that we will go Ronnie with the #2 pick, but if you kind of look at what was all going on at the time it kind of seems like SF had no intrest in Smith until we showed a lot of intrest. With Saban though I dont think any of us know what is going to happen. He has given no clue to what he is thinking, I guess it will all make since more once we see who we draft.

I don't think it's that crazy. I've been saying for a couple of weeks that perhaps the players we are hearing nothing about that Saban is interested in.

Its impossible to know, but anything is possible.

Browns Take Mike Williams
Bears Ronnie Brown
We take Edwards - Vikings come callin and gives two firsts and third for Edwards
Titans take Antrell Rolle
We take second best RB or Williamson. (at this point, it didn't really matter. We picked up two firsts a second and a third this year, and a first next)

I know, it's more like a wet dream, but that's what I came up with in my mind...
