Here is what I've notice, before Lazor came to Miami.... he had Nick Foles and the Eagles offense moving. I felt they had all the right pieces to get that team moving up and down the field. This offense Lazor inherited came with a package of Tannehill. The guy we invested a 1st Rd pick on, so you have to ride and die with him. So we were sold after 3 years he has improved. AT THIS POINT I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY CHANGE. you cannot convert a college wr to a 1 yr college qb to a NFL franchise qb, it's impossible. So I believe the dolphins sold us on him improving and hopING our new and improved D will hold opposing offenses to minimal points and hoping our O can squeeze out 21 points.... But what I've notice is Lazor has the plays to move down field, but I've felt he's been holding back the playbook, because tannehill cannot execute the plays so he resorts to dinks and dunks and dumbing down the plays.... you cannot ignore the fact when in philly the team with nick files were running up and down the field.

and you cannot ignore the fact that the offensive line in philly was a juggernaut

LOL. Do you know what an offensive line is? Or what their job is? Lazor may be holding back a bit in some playcalling, but its due to the Oline, not the QB. And im not even some huge RT supporter.

Now whether Philbin or Lazor is to blame for the constant/predictible passes? Guess we shall find out shortly. I think Philbin was forcing Lazor to pass and abandon the run.

One bit of history about Lazor that bothers me is the fact of WHO brought him here -- and under what conditions.

On the latter, I think it was the douche we just fired, on the former -- the douche was forced to make a decision because he was told to chit can Sherman.

That said, I had been kind of impressed with Lazor -- but this year seems oddly regressive.

Unsure how much the douche had to do with that - or if Lazor's bag of tricks has been exposed.

BNF.

Sorry for any misspelling I'm on my phone at work. This was just an opinion.... Thoughts??

My gut tells me Philbin has been handcuffing Lazor. Telling him a "3-4 yard pass is just as good as a 3-4 yard run". Well, no its not. The yardage is the same, but the oline needs to run the ball to have an opportunity to be engaged and be the aggressor. Limits teams from teeing off on us. Yank Thomas and plug in Turner who is on OK run blocker.

We shall find out soon though.

I can agree with the line not being great, there has been plenty of times he has had time to throw the ball and has missed wide open targets. I am tires of the excuses people blaming the line... yes I know we have a crap line, but you cannot excuse the times he has had time to throw and his misses the targets.

i actually think turner is better in pass pro than in the run game cause he oversets and lunges in the run game and gets beaten quickly...in pass pro he looked good in the preseason

not playing him when we are so soft up front is killing me...get some attitude and some thump in the hands in there

If playing calling (or Lazor) isnt part of the issue AND you claim Tannehill is a problem, then why on earth do WE NEVER RUN THE BALL. Furthermore, why do we NEVER run the ball on 1st and goal? That is THE DEFINITION of bad play calling!

How many times have you guys just sat there and screamed at the television when tannehill has had good protection and missed the wr wide open.... come on no more excuses for this guy this is a put up or shut up year for him.

Almost never

Lazor was QB coach in Philly. He didn't call plays. He spent one year working under Chip Kelly, he is not really a Kelly disciple, nor do we run the eagles offense.

He also has a rep as a control freak and micromanager. While I'm sure he'd prefer to have an NFL caliber line to work with, this is his offense being called his way. There is no one to blame for the terrible play calling other than Lazor.

My opinion is you're a know nothing idiot. Just an opinion.

One thing for sure, Ryan can hand off with the best of them. The fact we have so uniformly trashed the run game and went shot gun nuts passing on every down with minimal protect against teams that are KNOWN blitz happy and pretty good at eating up one dimensional offenses is puzzling at the least. On a scale of 1 to 10 our offensive play calling and game planning has been way down in the 1.275 to 1.386 region.

My opinion. Of course.
