You are right the opportunity is rare and a guy would been foolish to put himself in a bad situation. Go back and read what you typed about Zimmer. Are you saying desperation is good?

I think desparation can be good in the context of will I get another head coaching job

I would love to see Philbin as our new head coach. I think he can bring a new level to the offense and possibly Flynn could follow him. Fynn would fit right into our system and that would solve our need for the young Marino we have been searching for years. This wouls allow us focus on the line through the draft (either Reiff or Martin) Our line would be solid to sat the least which would allow Marshall, Bess, Clay, and Hartline do their thing.

On a side note I am glad we did not get Fisher. Just wish Ross would fire Ireland!!!
