in the 2008 Draft. If not an actual pick, what about in the QB lineup?

Vice versa, where would Henne have gone in 2007?

Maybe this has been hashed out before, I may have missed it.

I think they are both good QBs, both have their strengths and weaknesses. What I hope to see is teamwork among the QBs, selfless guidance from the vets etc. That's the way the QB position will emerge in the strongest way.

This is my opinion and my opinion alone Beck would have went third round, dont see him being selected over Brohm or Henne I say pick 94to NE instead of OConnel.

The Henne in 2007 is a very tricky question I think pick 36 to detroit they never trade the pick or at 40 where we picked Beck causing Beck to go to Detroit later in second round.

Fair enough.

That being said Qb is a differant kind of position in draft and good qb's drop all the time so just because I say beck goes third round does not mean he is not a solid prospect. Flacco had size and tools that were differany from Beck and the other two so I have no doubt that Beck would not have been drafted in his spot and still think age and size among other things would put him behind Henne and Brohm. When I say size I mean overall, beck was pretty thin out of college.

3rd or 4th round this year. If Kolb can get drafted ahead of him then there is no way Beck would have been ahead of Brohm and Henne this year..

Miami and Parcells sure wouldn't have picked Beck before Henne.. That is for sure..

.

By the way, I can pull up the mock drafts of last year, and alot of people in the media (and scouts) had Beck going in the 4th to 5th round in last years draft..

So yeah, Beck was overdrafted by a mile, and then some..

Not to mention Cam Cameron got his developmental QB in the 1st round this year, it's very doubtful he would've spent another pick on Beck. My guess is, he'd be a 4th round pick if he came out this year. Of course, that's taking into account his current age.

I like Beck as much or better than any QB drafted in the last 2 years. Henne is pretty close too but I like Beck better.
You never know how the NFL is going to pick them. Russell 1st pick, Ryan 3rd, huh?

Yep, you never know.

I think last year's group of QBs were a better group than this year's, but what do I know?

Its impossible to say.

I saw a thing, I forget what site, that talked about how Bill was wise and didnt "start a run" on QBs once Flacco was taken. If you notice in drafts players at positions are commonly taken "in runs". If he had taken the guy he wanted, Henne, at 32, there is no doubt someone wouldve taken Brohm shortly after. If someone really liked Brohm, they arent going to let him sit there as the highest remaining QB with a definate fall off to the next level of QBs behind him. I think its possible to say Cam started a run in a way last year when he took Beck. True Reid jumped up to grab Kolb, but he couldve feared Cam taking him. His move didnt necessarily start a run either but, Kolb was lumped in with that next group, so its hard to say.

I saw an interesting thing today - it was a panel discussion among several beat writers - Ethan Skolnik, Omar Kelly, an Italian guy, and another guy. They essentially said that if Beck were in the draft this year he would not have been drafted by the Dolphins because he does not fit the BP mold of a QB at all. They also said the same thing about Ginn.

IMHO - Beck would have probably been the 4th or 5th QB taken in this past draft.

You could argue within reason that he wouldve been the 3rd QB taken this year. But, I agree I just dont see BP selecting him at all. You could also argue that he gets taken behind Booty, but that dosent necessarily mean he goes in that round.

With Beck in the mix it totally changes where other QBs are taken for obvious reasons. Perhaps Cam wouldve liked him almost as much as Flacco and therefore waits till round 3 to select him, allowing Flacco to fall and we take him at 32. Then perhaps that starts a run on QBs and someone different jumps on Brohm earlier than pick 56. Alot couldve happened differently just by adding one other prospect at the QB position to the mix.
