Chad Pennington has really helped turn this team around, with that said...nobody knows for sure if Chad Henne will be great or a bust. But lets imagine that a team like the Chiefs or 49ers offered us their 1st round pick for Pennington....would you take it??? The Texans gave a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for Matt Schaub which is ridiculous, but just imagine if we were offered a 1st for Pennington by some team with no QB.

And 2ndly, idk how many 2nd round picks we have, apparently we have 2?? Either or, would you give the Patriots a 2nd to get Wes Welker back? Gosh i miss that guy, could you imagine him and Bess on the same team? If we have 2 picks in the 2nd, id give one of them to have Welker back. Would you?

but about Pennington, the last thing we need is to get rid of him, put Henne and Beck in and have another QB problem for another 5-6 years. Pennington can easily be the man for another 5-6 years. But a 1st? Thats tough.

I agree Penny is more than capable of holding on to this job for another few years, I wouldnt want Penny traded right now at any cost, but the powers that be may feel different. We dont know what Henne looks like in practice however listening to the coaches talk Penny has this job right now and is not in danger of worrying about going into next training camp fighting for his job. I do believe though if Henne comes in next training camp and is obviously the better QB he will get the job, but I doubt Henne will. We shall see.

Pennington is a huge part of our success right now, to me he is worth 2 first round picks and a 2nd round pick.

Wes Welker for a 2nd wold be silly. I'm sure we could get a better WR for a 2nd maybe a Chad Johnson, or a Roy Williams type of guy.
