At this point I have heard enough about Andy Reid, Jon Gruden, Brian Billick, etc... Just give Cowher the keys to everything. Why not? He is a proven winner and wants complete control. Give it to him... Can't get any worse.... I think he is the best option at this point.

His first choice is the Giants and have we not learned what happens when we give a guy the keys?

yeah, another clusterfork like Seattle's come from behind upset this weekend and if not already, Cowher's as good as hired.

I am not a huge fan of Cowher, Pittsburgh has had a great front office, he had amazing assistants as well.. I just dont know if I could get on board with another guy who controls everything...From Satan to Parcells it just does not work..

I am certain Cowher would want that kind of power..

Cowher's a good coach, very good but I still wonder how well he'd do without Dick LeBeau as his DC. Ever wonder why Mike Tomlin was so successful when he became coach of the Steelers...it had a lot to do with the fact that he didn't change the defense and kept LeBeau onboard.

Would it be possible if Cowher came here that he could snag LeBeau to coordinate for us? Or would he be bound by his contract to stick to Pit?

That is the key. Cowher would attract better assistant coaches and a better PP guy if Ireland get the axe. I am tired of all the on-the-job-training types of coaches. We need the best coach available. I would be fine with Fisher and Gruden as well.

The reason I say give him complete control is because our owner is a loser and has no clue... Gruden reminds me of a cheerleader like Sparano. Cowher is rested and will be very fresh and ready to turn it around. He is no ego-jerkoff like fat boy Parcells. Parcells makes me sick just looking at him. He is the number 1 reason we are a mess. You can point fingers everywhere but that fat boy blew this place up (and Dallas) and left us for dead.

Exactly. I was pondering this very issue recently. Tomlin was a Dungy disciple. Ironically, Tony D got elements of his scheme when he played under Chuck Noll.

Better yet, Miami could have Keith Butler (PS LB coach) come in for an interview before retaining Nolan.

Ross is not going to hire Cowher. Ross wants an aggressive, high scoring offense to bring excitement to the franchise. Bill Cowher is another Dave Wannstedt/Tony Sparano type of meatball who thinks it's okay to keep Kordell Stewart around and have a good defense (note that he didn't win a damn thing until he had Big Ben). It ain't gonna be Cowher.

Cowher has an ego maybe not like JJ, Tuna, or Saban.

Parcells coached for the Pats, Giants, & Jets plus ESPN loves him... you connect the dots fellow conspiracy theorists.

I hope Bill Parcells has a heart attack and dies. Preferably soon.
