Observations:
1. The offensive line did not play bad at all. I thought gus had time to throw pretty much the whole game.
2. Ronnie Brown deserves the bulk of the carries.
3. Our WR are talented but lack the "will" to win. Its well documented that chambers does not fight for the ball. He doesn't attack the ball, he doesn't try to catch it with his hands at the highest point. But the play that bugged me against KC was when it was like 3rd and 12 and booker caught a short crossing route and he was forced out of bounds after a 10 yard gain. It really bothers me thet he didn't lower his shoulder and try to cut upfield. He saw the hit coming and went out of bounds a couple yards short... he just didn't want it.
4. I thought the defense played with alot of heart, but obviously they didn't get it done, biggest needs are DT and CB, Safeties (I guess thats alot)
5. This last point is why we didn't win or have a chance to win and that is Gus just couldn't make the throws he was asked to make. I thought gus had a strong arm but after watching this game he just simply could not make the long throws. Passes were falling short all over the field, it was a terrible game by gus. If Gus would have just made a couple plays, and they were there for the taking, then the game would have been alot more competitive.
I would love to see Sage start the next three games, then give lemon a shot for the rest of the season. Sage is not the answer, I don't see any fire in him either. Lemon I am very curious.
