Nooo im not trying to say I have culpepper on speeddial, but I did just talk to the man himself...My friends and I attend BCC right down the street from training camp, and at 1230 today a couple of my buddies ran over there and b4 I could make it over there one of my friends had managed to slip into the VIP section (where you get the VIP passes I have no clue, my buddy just snuck in). I pick up my phone and my friend gives the phone to someone and I hear "Hello this is Daunte Culpepper"...I could have died but the quickest thing I could tell him was he was the savior of our team and that I haven't been as excited about dolphin's football since Marino. He laughed and assured me this season would be one to remember! I know this doesn't mean much, but damn its cool to hear it from the man himself!!! GO DOLPHINS!!! :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins:

If this actually happened... I'm very jealous... but seeing as its very unlikely that it did I'm not really that upset.

Why do some on here have such a hard time believing that an average Joe can come into contact with, meet, or talk to an NFL player?

They are humans too. It's not like they're from Mars or anything. The poster would have no reason to just make something like that up.

Seriously. What does this guy possibly have to gain from saying this?

Yeah that is really funny no one believes me! Anyone who lives in south florida or that has been to training camp know that random people get lucky and get autographs and to talk 2 players..The players ARE human and some of them actually ENJOY the fact that they have FANS...i didnt get any autographs, just a brief phone conversation, but my friend who met Culpepper got lucky because he got culpepper, travis minor, big daddy, and crowder 2 sign his visor...Again im not claiming I know Culpepper personally, OR have his phone number. Weird how this seems so far fetched... Just thought I'd share with everyone that Daunte is a cool dude and is really good with the fans!

Uh huh..and you shook hands with Nick Saban right? :chuckle:

That sounds like Daunte. He is that kind of guy that will come over to talk to fans. I live in Orlando and one day I see Ricky Watters and Daunte walking into the gym I approach them and Watters (has been)ignores me totally and Pepp stops gives me five and tells me he is driving to Miami the next day I offered to be his co-pilot and he said he was taking a small car and he points to a Orangish/rust colored covertable Ferrari,(no room) but he does ask me how to get to the facility from the Turnpike. I told him I wasn't sure, but I know how to get to Dollhouse. (Just Kidding)
He is a nice fan friendly guy. Most of the big shot stars fail to make eye contact and often wear headphones so they don't have to hear thier addoring fans.
