that bodden and the lions are near signing him to a contract through 2013. hope that wont happen. guess we must target mcfadden. anyone else hear the bodden situation. its not officially yet
 
Haven't heard anything, but it wouldn't surprise me. This FO apparently isn't too worried about not having a starting CB opposite Will Allen. I hope Jason Allen steps up this year!!!
 
it isnt that they aren't worried but i think they draft that guy like a Sean Smith or Darius Butler

yeah. me too. just wanna sign mcfadden and be done with it. he is the best out there if bodden signs .
 
Just so you know we are only targeting CB's that will come in and play for 1.5 million a year right now.
 
Keep in mind guys, it is rare to have a CB come out in the draft and start day 1.

Most of the time it takes them a year or so to get broken in.

With the dearth of talented CBs in FA and the vast number of teams looking for help in the secondary, I am finding it highly unlikely we will land one of the 3 guys. We will likely grab someone with issues (age, performance, injury) as a filler, scavenge the trash after the June 1st cuts, and go with what we have.

I'd be shocked if we didnt grab at least 1 CB in the draft but I wouldnt expect him to be more than a nickle back at the very best in his first year.

I hate to be a downer, but I think our secondary is gonna get tore up again next year :(

This sounds funny to me though.

Bodden wasnt a FA this year, he was cut by the team. Now they are changing their tune?

Does anyone know what his contract was prior to being cut?

I'm with you, this makes no sense. Then again, it is the Lions.
 
Deep CB draft this year IMO. It all starts with the front 7 and our pass rush.
 
Worth looking at. I have my hopes up that Alphonso will slide to us though.
 
Sean Smith would be a great FS, ball hawk . . . still he is real raw at the position, and it is crazy to expect him to come in from day 1 and start opposite of Will Allen.
