Just how bad were the 2007 Dolphins?

I wholeheartedly agree. That Mayes guy is a certifiable GENIUS!

We were SCAM CAMERON TEARIBLE that season debacled us for five years.

Key points from the column:
- Dolphins played the toughest schedule in the AFC and 4th toughest in the league.
- Dolphins lost 6 games by 3 points, including three to playoff teams (including the SB Champion Giants)
- On offense, the Dolphins were abysmal in the running game, were way out of balance in the run:pass ratio, and produced about a yard less per play than their opponents.
- On defense, they were surprisingly good against the pass (4th in the league in fewest yards allowed) but horrendous against the run (dead last in the NFL)

Tomorrow's column looks at what's been done and what will be done to address these areas of greatest need.

And with apologies to the Matt Ryan Man-crush Club (MRMCC), quarterback ain't an area of greatest need.

we were as bad as 1-15 especiallly wen our only win comes from an OT victory

Seems like some team every year has a season like ours....every body is due at some point. Just hope it doesn't happen again.

Numbers dont lie and neither does that article. Nice piece.

We actually should have lost that game, considering Billick goes for it on 4th and inches... He would have had NO PROBLEM getting into the endzone

Yea.....and before all the injuries we went into OT against a playoff team for our first loss.

how many players did we lose due to injury last year? For some reason I think I heard 13 at one time. losing 13 players is tough for any team. Especially when 3 of them are running backs and we're left with Gado and Cobbs(Yippee).

Take out Thomas, Bell, and I believe Hill......that did a wonderful job of helping to destroy our defense.

Seriously, we had back up running backs, a rookie WR, backup/rookie QB, backups throughout the secondary, and we lost on of our 2 best players on defense! There's NO WAY we lose all 6 of those 3 point games if not for those injuries. Especially the Steelers game. Give us Ronnie Brown and that would have been a win for sure.

meh, this is all old info that we've discussed over and over here. nice read though for an uninformed fan.

We had 12 different starting defenses in 12 games last year... Not good at all.

Sheesh.

Why do people feel the need to try and justify a horribile season?

WE WERE 1-15!!!

WE SUCKED!!!

Leave it at that and move on. We were exactly as bad as 1-15. There is NO stat that anyone can produce that will counter that fact. Let it go and move on.

Next year approaches, 2007 is already in the rearview and fading fast...

they were not coached correctly talent was there no coaching
