Just made a wager, am I crazy?

No worries man

I have a yearly bet with my best friend $100 Dolphins vs Eagles as to who has best record or gets into playoffs.

I've had the short end of that bet lately. But honeslty, the $100 is worth all the trash talk during the entire season.

$6.25 a game

There is a decent chance we could have a Chip Kelly offense vs a Chip Kelly light offense in the SB this year.

We're not going to the Super Bowl with this OL and linebackers, not to mention a couple other worries. But playoffs, I hope so.

The Jets? They seem like a better team than last year. I see them as 8-8 regardless, so I'd take the Dolphins in a bet.

There was a day and time you could bet on every Dolphin game for the whole season and always come out on top. Always come out on top.
It made game day even more fun.
Sadly those days are gone. But hopefully we are on the upswing!

I would be shocked if we were worse this year. Oline can't be worse, hopefully Tannehill takes another step forward, a Shermanless go go offense, just that leads me to noticeable improvement.

PLEASE don't jinx us, don't say the OL can't be worse, because it easily can. Our OTs are definitely going to be better baring injury, but our OGs will be the same or worse baring someone unexpected stepping up. Hopefully we bring in a vet off the street to help out til the young guys get up to speed. I think Dallas Thomas can be very solid at one OG but it is down between the rookie Turner, Brenner, or Garner to man the other OG. Hopefully Turner can catch on quickly, but I have my doubts.

As for the rest of your post I totally agree.

Smith is at least competing for the spot....

How can somebody give you that bet with Miami owning the tiebreaker? It should be reversed. The Dolphin season win/over under is a full game higher than the Jets.

Theoretically you are slightly higher than a 1/2 favorite to cash that bet. I'd say -230. In man to man situations, that's not always the same as actually collecting. Not saying you can't trust your friend but I always prefer a ticket from an actual corporation.

My buddy is a die hard Jets fan and of course thinks the Jets will be better. We've got $100 bucks on who has the better record with the Phins getting the tie breaker. Thoughts?

I don't think it is crazy, I think the teams will be close and you could finish ahead of us. I hope that doesn't happen but it wouldn't be shocking.

Got 100 dollars with my cousin that says Miami has a better record than Buffalo so I am kind of in the same position as you. Iffy bet but I have faith in the fins.

I've never even had $25,000 before. You want to bet $1,000 Miami wins the division?

I'm not even sure what we're talking about anymore. I'm planning on taking Vegas up on their 20-1 odds that Miami will be AFC Champions (i.e. one of the superbowl teams), but that is contingent on Tannehill and other key pieces survive training camp and the offense is indeed running a Chip Kelly style up tempo. In other words I don't think the odds of it happening are particularly good, I just think they are better than 20-1.

the odds of that happening are as slim as could be BUT strange things do happen.

All I'm saying is Miami isn't winning the division, period. If you disagree, a wager should be thrown at me.

I'm going to wait until closer to September but I'm probably going to bet the Dolphins will be the AFC Champions. If Tannehill grows I think we're a 9-11 win team. If Tannehill grows and we're able to run an effective up-tempo I think we could be an 11-13 win team. Which means we should get some homefield advantage in the playoffs, which will make the up-tempo all the more effective in January.

Odds for Miami to win the AFC is at 19-1 right now.

Dude, where have you been the past decade +? You're just setting yourself up for heart break and disappointment...cm'on man...AFC Champions...11-13 wins? Lol.
