1.Listen, I'm just going to say my observation on the state of the franchise. My grammar maybe inappropriate, my spelling will be wrong. But, since I live in S. Florida, I've had an up close and personal view of all our teams. Just three years ago everyone was screaming for Pat Riley's head. The chants were he is too old to be the GM, he no longer has it and etc. In the mean time, Riley would speak to all the newspapers and radio stations, and explained how the 2006 championship, along the salary cap hindered him from making any significant moves, and that we should be patient because he had a plan for the future. No one wanted to listen to him. And the chants continues. Fire him he sucks, we are not going to renew our tickets. When he promoted Spoelstra everyone thought he was crazy. All Spoe have manage to do is to be currently ranked second in franchise history in victories and winning percentage in both regular season and postseason play. He Riley in the summer of 2010 had a Coup de tat in getting Bosh, Lebron, to team up with Dwayne Wade to be one of the most popular and winning teams in the league. So the radio callers and all the Miami Heat fans who didn't stick to the Heat when they were down were absolutely wrong..

2. David Samson and Jeffrey Loria were scream how bad they had it by playing in Dolphins stadium. They didn't control the parking, the food revenue and the revenue they need in order to stay competitive and re-sign their top free agents. Everyone continued to go ballistic and said they had to go and the team should be moved to another city. But they the owners continued to explain when they get their stadium things would change. No one would listen. The constant bashing continued. Fast forward to now, the Marlins are the number story in baseball this year. I don't need to mention all the acquisition that have occur, but every south Florida fan knows. So again, I think ( No Spin Here) depending on the Marlins play this year they, by they I mean the one's that didn't listen and now having the big picture view, while they owners continued to explain the grand vsion they had, could be wrong once again.

3. Now, the Panthers, not much need to be said, but when the new owner took over they also said they had a plan and fast forward to now, the Panthers lead their Division and currently stands 3rd in the conference.

4. Now, I can be completely wrong and I'm not saying the decision that are currently being made by this GM is going to result into a winning season or going to lead us into the playoffs and winning the Superbowl. But, last year all his draft picks and F.A. made a contribution to this team. With the Exception of Colombo. Even if you want to say it still translated to a 6-10 season. I encourage you to research who he drafted and picked up in the Draft and F.A. against who he could have had, since it was his first full year of finally becoming the full time GM. I only ask of you to do this, because I myself would love to hear what he did so wrong last off-season. Not saying he didn't miss, I just want confirmation, base on what are needs were at that time, for a first time GM what he could have done differently. I'm not trying to be right or wrong, just want to know.

The Giants won the SB with winning just 3 more games than us and getting hot at the right time. My best friend is a Giants fan. I was in his living room during the away game at Dallas. He continued to tell me how bad they suck, how bad the Defense was, and how bad the GM was in selecting the roster and what the hell were they thinking in signing the D. Coordinator. And I was the only voice of reason to him that him that night.

Now, back to my point, Ireland said please wait until the process plays out, and based on my 3 previous examples I think he alteast deserves that.

The problem with Ireland, fairly or unfairly, is that he has been the GM for the last four years and the Dolphins have had losing seasons for the last three years in a row. The GM has to take some accountability for that.

I know, but he didn't take complete control until last year. I'm only judging him based on that. And yes I'm aware we only won 6 games..

I think he did have a fair draft last year, so that's probably the only reason he's still around. We may never know how much influence or decision making power he had when the Parcells was running the show. Still, he WAS the GM so he has to take some of the heat for those mostly fail drafts. He can turn it all around this year by getting a franchise QB and winning more than 8 games. Less than 8 games and no QB and he should rightly get fired.

GO PHINS~!

Agree! I tend to judge the organization decisions iduring the season, not before.

Ireland I am on board with based on who we had before him and how well they drafted which was pretty bad. Coaching makes the difference more than some of these players. I see his players all around the league except mainly on the offensive line. I personally think Tony S picked the OL material since it was his speciality but we will see this year with Tony gone. I have no problem him low balling players he is not sure of and most of this media hype about him is due to the Dez issue where basically a player said his Dad was a pimp etc. Dez was pretty stupid to say that IMO.

Anyone questioning Pat Riley about anything can't see passed the back of their own eyelids. That dude is a slick-haired ****ing winner everywhere he goes.

Loria and Samson...those dudes are weasels. Loria especially. They've hoodwinked the city of Miami and its taxpayers into paying for that stadium. We lost the Orange Bowl as a result. Am I excited about flying back down to Lauderdale Wednesday morning for the home opener? Absolutely. Better believe it 110%. Loria and Samson are smart dudes who know how to win...their problem is sustainability. And that's tough to come by in baseball. The Marlins are going to have to come out of the gates firing on every cylinder to keep people in the seats. If not, that boat will sink quick and a lot of people are going to be pissed the **** off. The thing I love about Loria and Samson is that those dudes are full-on risk takers. Highly successful people in this world got to where they are by taking some big big risks. Jerry Jones has had some many business failures in his life but he's filthy rich because he takes risks.

The Panthers...excellent job. Couldn't be anymore proud of SOUTH FLORIDA HOCKEY right now.

And I've stood firm that Ireland takes more **** from people than he should have to. I've never stood up and called for Ireland's job the way I did for Sparano and Parcells. Even in my severe fits of rage during the season I never once called for Ireland's job. He's much smarter than people give him credit for and that's why I've given Ireland more time than the others.

Ultimately, I'm just sick of losing.

I think we can all agree on that. Amen!

Think about the state of the Franchise with Parcells leaving and now thinking about coaching the Saints to a SB. Ireland is part of the Parcells tree and if we have another losing season without young playmakers in place then Dolphins will be on a lower level then we are right now. One more year GM has to redeem himself.

According to Parcells philosophy: you are what your record says you are.

The Giants have Eli Manning. We have Matt Moore. That says just about everything, doesn't it?

A phrase I believe 100% of Dolphins fans can agree with.

Ok, so I give him credit for the second half of last year, since he has to take some of the heat, he also gets some of the glory...

Look, what you're saying is partly true, but where exactly do you (or can you) draw the line and say "Ireland did this" and in the same breath say "Quitcells did this"...we, as fans likely will never, ever know... Mr. Loss has decided to take the high road and seemingly ignore his past 3 yrs and start with last season. One that saw one of the better mid-season turnarounds than you'll see. Based on that, he's starting from last season, according to our owner...

As I said above, under normal circumstances, most could agree with you. But now Irish has a new HC with a new offensive and defensive philosophy and much of the talent we have is geared towards the old regime. Even his best draft, last year, was geared towards the Quitcells theory... You tell me now that he only gets one offseason with Philbin's needs to create a contender ?? Even for Ireland, is that really fair ??

Well, we all know the story of these guys. We also know the story of what Mr. Loss has tried to do here. Nowhere has Riley, Loria or anyone associated with those franchises made the blunders or at least perceived blunders that Mr. Loss has. That is, to this point, the difference between the franchises. As you say, maybe Mr. Loss and Irish have a master plan, but it certainly can't be envisioned by the fanbase to this point, can it ??
