Just my take on this years team

Contrary to EVERYONE I will say that this years team will overachive and that this years record will be better than 8-8 as many of you are predicting.
This is simple because of the new staff & coach.

Since most of us are diehards we have similiar opinions. I think the popular press doesn't really know or respect the amount of Raw Talent we have on this team. I also think they greatly underestimate the effect of a brand new coaching regime and system. With Saban's confusing and new defense, Linehan's offense (which I don't think will involve running head first into a brick wall on 3rd and 8), Hudson Houck, and our running backs; I think we will be a huge suprise to the rest of the league. I wouldn't be suprised if we were the SD Chargers of this year.

I tend to agree with you, I think the biggest factor will be if one of the QB's plays well, if not a sub .500 season is possible as well.

I disagree. Maybe if Miami gets lucky we will get to 8-8.

We will probably win around 5-7 games this year. Takes time for stuff to fall into place and Saban isn't finished building this team yet.
Oh, and please don't be one of the ridiculous fans calling for Saban's head because our team didn't live up to your fantasy expectations.

Sure Miami has raw talent, but doesn't every team? Saban has not been a head coach before. He seems like he has his head on straight, but he is going against other head coaches in our own division that know our players better than he does. Give the guy at least year to get his system implemented.

You could argue that we will go under .500 simply because of a new scheme and new coach. People do take time to adapt, you know.

i think we are going 10-6...i think that is a fair assessment because last year everything went wrong and we still should have won the arizona ,seattle and denver games...the team never quit...we were in every game except the mnf @ nyj...now we have saban, linehan, houck, ronnie brown, ricky and boston back...we also had a bunch of injuries last year...
