I've read a ton of these posts by many of you so-called Dolphins :dolphins: fans (Just for the record: I'm a Dolphins fan) about 'Bree$ This' and 'Bree$ That' and 'Culpepper Sucks ' and 'Daunte is an idiot :dunce:'...Anyways...

I would probably say about 75-80% of the people in here want Bree$ and the rest want Culpepper...NOTE: I have nothing against either of these two...I hope we get one of them.

So I ask this...If Bree$ "Takes the Money and Run$" to the $AINT$...and we end up trading for Culpepper or maybe acquiring him after the Vikings cut him...

Are 75-80% of you guys going to CUT YOUR VEINS because that "idiot" Daunte "who sucks" is our QB?

Or

Will you suddenly JUMP ON THE DAUNTE BANDWAGON?

The way I see it...either one of these guys would generate an excitement in this town that we haven't seen since THE MAN ran our offense...

If you think about it...Losing out on Brees and acquiring Culpepper is really not all that bad...

It could be worse...What if we lose out on BOTH?

It's like reading a birthday card.

But seriously, you have a point, whoever we land will be an upgrade. It's pretty much win-win.

But I think you'll find that once a player puts on a fin uniform, finheaven member will due their due dilligence and root for the guy to reach full potential with the team, personal preference or not.

Even Jay Fiedler had his moments.

What about this???

OK....here it goes! What if Brees does go w/the Aints and since they won't be in the market for a franchise Qb........Saban puts together a package for their #1 pick and we target one of the top 3 Qb's (Lienart, Young or Cutler)? Hey stranger things have happened......remember the Giants and SD trade a few years back? Maybe.......just maybe......this will come full circle and we get our Marino replacement the "old fashion" way..........through the draft!

Shelton is going to hold the left side steady and as I recall the line really came together at mid to late season. With R&R (if Ricky doesn't get kicked out of the league), Chambers in probowl form, McMike coming on, I only see us need to get one more solid WR. T.O.???? Maybe. Let's move onto the Defense.

We need to add a solid run stopper (adams), roll the dice on Poole, get Roth more involved, keep ZT, JT healthy, find some cornor help and add a safety. Keep w/mare and forget that drunk *** kicker vanderjackass.

The coaching is there and I might add SABAN has some steel balls going hardball w/Brees but as I said earlier..............Saban may be getting ready to "pull a rabbit out of his hat" by pulling an old Rope A Dope on the Aints!!!

Now...............Let's get ready to see this plan unfold!

I want Brees, but if Saban wants Culpepper or Brees wants NO and we have Culpepper of course I am rooting for him. I am a Dolphins fan! Your question is just as bad as what came first " The chicken or the egg"

For a guy to come on here and just start lashing out in his 5th post really makes me wonder. How can you have only posted five times, but somehow you are already disgusted with every person on this forum?

I would be thrilled to have daunte if the vikings would just let our doctors have a look at him to see if he will be ready for this season. For those of you who don't know, Daunte is very bad in new offensive systems, at first anyways, if you look at his stats and when new O coordinators were coming in you would see this. ( I looked it up). Since we are keeping linehans system, I think a "mostly" healthy daunte would absolutely THRIVE here with the weapons we could provide him with. But, I know Saban knows best and I trust whatever decision he makes.

I know I'm still new, but I'll give my two cents.

I think the majority of people here are voicing their opinion as to whom they would prefer to see Miami acquire. However, everyone here seems to be a legit fan and would back whichever quarterback starts for the Dolphins. I would prefer to see Drew Brees but if Daunte ends up in town, I'm still going to pull for him. I don't think anyone is going to root against Daunte or Drew, whichever winds up here. That would be ridiculous, and I don't think we need to get into a "whose the truest fan" debate because having read the forums for a long time and having recently joined I can say that 99 percent of the people here bleed aqua and orange.

As for the other talk here, I truly do trust Nick Saban. I can't even begin to articulate how impressed I have been with Nick so far and as of yet he has not even come close to leading me astray. So I trust whoever he brings in to be the best possible fit. If Saban picks Drew Brees, chances are its because Saban thinks Brees will be fit best. Likewise with Culpepper. My gut says Brees, but if my gut was always right I would be head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Same with anyone else.

As for the other talk about upgrading all over, TO would be a horrible decision and I would be dumbfounded if he wound up in Miami. I would never rule it out completely, but acquiring him would seem to run counter to everything that Saban has preached so far. He has more ability than almost anything, but he's an ******* and he destroys locker rooms. I don't want him. I also just don't think he would fit into our offensive philosophy or into our financial realm of possibility. I just don't think that will happen and I'm glad. I don't see why we have a fixation with him. I mean I guess I do, but come on.

As for the draft, I don't want Miami to put together a package to move up. I don't like any of the three top QB's and I wouldn't want to stake the franchise's future on a rookie. I think Vince Young could be a great pro, but he could also be a great flop too (see Akili Smith), I don't like Leinart that much either because I've never been wild about lefty QB's and I just never saw Leinart as a player who could take over a game. He reminds me a little of a stornger-armed Ken Dorsey. Great college QB, but he also had one of the best supporting casts in history. I'm not sold on him as an answer either. Cutler seem to be the golden boy, but even with him I have questions. I'd prefer to see us draft Brodie Croyle or Charlie Whitehurst and bring them along behind Brees or Culpepper.

Also, a rookie would require a learning period. The first season would probably not be good, nor am I even sold on starting a rookie at QB. I would much rather bring one along, but where would that leave us? With Gus again. I don't like that scenario.

I know that was long-winded, but bear with me.

Way off. 75- 80% of the people want Brees. But that 75-80% doesn't hate Culpepper, we just PREFER Brees. Most of us would be excited to have Culpepper. We just aren't excited about paying such a high salary AND giving up a VERY important high draft pick.
