Man- they are quiet over there - but here is what they have to say about feeley/fiedler.. I thought this post was particularly funny....

"....i agree that you all will be better off with feeley in there ...
...the thing about fiedler is he isn't going to make mistakes ... he is very steady ... won't let anything crazy happen on his watch ..."

something like that --

Yeah I bet they would LOVE for us to start Fiedler. I'll be honest, the bengals offense makes me a bit nervous, but their D is atrocious.

Fiedler isn't going to make mistakes? While he has always worked hard to overcome them, Fiedler does have a tendency to throw the big interception, like In Ne or in the opener last year. Feely threw one interception, let's give him more time and more snaps with the first eam. Also, anyone thinking the Bengals are gonna roll over are foolish. They had a sloppy week one and certainly have some weaknesses we need to exploit, but in no way do I think their offense will be inept. They have a QB with a great arm and a top caliber wide reciever who will make one or two big plays a game.

I don't know, I am not enamored with the Bengals offense as some others are. Sure, they are improved, but They did that damage against a weakened Jets secondary. Our Defense is much better than theirs and as evidenced against the Titans. Regardless of the score, Miami only gave up 10 points on D, and that was against the MVP of the league. I thought we played ok for everything we went through. Having Feeley in should help out the offense and give it some spark. He gives us an added bonus of being able to air it out if need be.

I also don't buy into us being celler dwellers, despite what this Jet fan says. We may, but then again, we have overcome problems in the past to give ourselves a shot a postseason play. Remember, in week 2 we could have 9 new starters from this time last year on offense. The only remaining starters? Wade Smith, who may be replaced soon by Damien McIntosh and Chris Chambers, who isn't going anywhere other than up. Possibly ten new faces makes it very hard to get a rhythem quickly. Facing a team like the Bengals gives us a chance to really see what we have.

On a sidenote, havin played our game on Saturday gives the team an extra day to rest/practice/prepare. Breaking in a new QB, RB, and O-line, this is crucial.

Just FYI, I cleaned this thread... and if any one wants to come talk smack only... do it in the right forum.

Their being worried about Fiedler starting is like us being worried Akili Smith will light up our secondary...

I thought during the Jets-Bengals game they said they are not called the Bungles anymore :hmmm:

I love Carson Palmer as a QB so this s/b a fun game...

I was at the Jets Bengals game yesterday. Carson Palmer is the real deal. The kid is going to be something special. The bengals are definately not the Bungles anymore.

I agree. They have a really solid offense. Chad Johnson is becoming one of the best receivers in the league and Rudi Johnson is a pretty good RB. Carson Palmer has a lot of potential as well. Their defense as of right now is absolutely horrible though, espicially against the pass, so hopefully we can have some success there. I think in a few years the Bengals will become a really good team. Marvin Lewis is a great defensive mind so I think he will eventually turn their D around.

Palmer looked like the real deal against the Jets.

Big whoop...

McNair, who everyone knows is the real deal, didn't look like the real deal against us.

Palmer is going to get eaten alive...
