I think the strongest emotion going through me right now is just sadness. I'm not mad we lost the game, because hey let's face it, we weren't supposed to be in this situation at all. But I am sad that this season has come to an end. It was truly amazing watching this team all year. To see the improvements they made each week and the way they learned how to win was awesome. The way they kept doing what needed to be done late in games to get the win; that's the stuff champions are made of. Let's not forget, our playoffs started a long time ago. After the loss to NE every game became a must win. And this team responded BIG TIME.

It's been such a pleasure to watch these guys play as a unit all year long. This truly was "one team, one heartbeat". You could really tell that each guy wanted to do it for his teammates. Defensive guys praising the offense, offensive guys praising the defense; I just can't explain how refreshing it was to watch 53 guys play for the love of the game. Today's NFL is sometimes a collection of individuals playing the game (i.e. the Cowboys), but we were a prime example of a "team".

So my sadness really lies in the fear that the same "magic" might not be recaptured next year (even if we have a more successful season). I don't want to just win. I want to win as a team. A team where everyone has each others' backs and are doing it for the other guys more than themselves.

Thank you 2008 Miami Dolphins!

I feel the same way. What bothers me is we didn't play very well at all, just like in the first game against the Ravens. I expected much more, especially playing at home in front of a sold out crowd. I like Chad Pennington, and I hope he comes back next year. I think Chad just tried to do too much today. His passes were consistently off the mark and he was overthrowing everyone. The receivers also seemed to be double and triple teamed but Chad kept trying to force it in there instead of throwing it away.

The playcalling was about the same as last game. When you have success with the Wild Cat, why do you all of a sudden become conservative and stop using it? If Henning was afraid to call any plays out of the Wild Cat then at least make some better play calls. I think us not being able to score a TD on the first drive played a huge part in the game......being up 7-0 is much different from being up 3-0. Where was Anthony Fasano today? Did they even throw it to him? Where was Ginn's mind at on that reverse when he fumbled and booted the ball back for ten yards, killing any chance we had at a field goal. Why is at that our punter can never look great like the Raven's punter and every other punter we go against?

Bottom Line: You can't beat many teams with 5 turnovers, and you sure can't beat the Ravens this way. I do think Pennington is a better and smarter QB then Joe Flacco, but Flacco did not try to do too much where Chad tried to do it all. It's been a great year.....it's too bad it had to end like this. But I am looking forward to the draft in April.

Good post. I'm looking forward to next season as well. We had an AWSOME rebuilding year. Better news and more important than the meaningless Ravens loss today was that Parcells and Ireland are staying so we will be getting some good personnel. No more Eddie Moore's and Jamar Fletchers. This team will be elite soon. Also, teamwork comes from the coach so we won't be losing that so don't worry. Sparano will be here awhile and will give us some championships.

It does hurt today. but after some time goes by, I think we'll all look back at this season and be very happy with how far the team has come in such a short period of time.

+1. Can't get too greedy, we made meteoric progress this season and I have to say, I love that we're keeping Tuna to finish the building project.

I too am sad the season is over,

Not angry that we lost today. Disappointed because we couldn't extend our season, simply because it's 9 months before we'll see this team play again. Strange to say about a Dolphins team that i in previous years had just wanted to stop playing, get to the off-season, and get excited about that instead.

THANKS FOR MAKING SUNDAY'S ENJOYABLE AGAIN PHINS!

They were so just enjoyable to watch all year. I really feel for all the guys, now starting to read the comments you can tell that they really believed in what they were doing and in each other and they seem just as crushed as we the fans are. I also feel especially bad for Chad. You know how serious he takes the leadership role and he has to feel like he completely let the team down today. Although, I couldn't disagree more. Chad has become invaluable to the development of this young team that today's performance is acceptable. You know he was really trying to will it to happen today, it just wasn't in the cards. We got beat by a more talented and physical team. That shouldn't diminish the contributions of every man on the 53 man roster.

It really was a great season. This was a fun team to watch, and they played hard all year long. Let's face it, the Fins lost to a better team today. But as quickly as we went from 1-15 to 11-5, we can make the leap from playoff team to contender next season. Go Dolphins.

When the clock was running down I was obviously pissed about the loss but I was just depressed that I didn't get to watch the Dolphins play anymore. It's a shame the game ended with them running out the clock.

i think im more sad thats the season ends today, then the fact that we lost a game. this was my first time watching every game of a season and i really enjoyed it. losses dont hurt so bad when you get another chance, next week.

but waiting till next season. arghhhh, it feels like a lifetime just thinking about it.
