1. Ronnie Brown: Great game...this guy is special. He missed a few holes that would have given him a 160 yard day...of course...if his hammy didn't tighten up on that play...we are talking about a possible 200 yard day.

2. Seth McKinney: DOMINATED. Yep...that seth mckinney....no...I am serious...he actually dominated...yeah...Seth McKinney...that guy that plays center for us...NO..I"M SERIOUS..I am not joking.

3. Our Tackles: I don't think they could play better....did Julius Peppers play? Was he hurt?

4. Keith Traylor: DOMINATION....he singlehandedly destroyed the Panthers running game.....with alot of help of course from our LB's cleaning up the mess that Traylor made with their Guards.

5. Howard/Madison: Howard was a disaster.....Madison played okay...not good.....just okay....I think I know what Steve Smith was talking about...Madison thought he was Rodney harrison out there...He delivered a couple of cheap shots and then jawed to the Carolina Sideline to which he was warned by the refs at one time....he then went balistic on a ref.....he also...if you caught it.....gave the finger to FOX in the third quarter. Nice intesity...just play better....please.

6. Frerotte: Missed some HUGE PLAYS...but very efficient.....hit the important ones.....his performance was the epitomy of "We don't need you to win the game...just don't lose it."

7. Chambers: WOW....Gamble's family was sitting in my section and after the game I was talking to one of his relatives and told him that Gamble played a great game......I LIED. Chris Chambers made him look like a fool....all day. If we had Peyton manning at Quarterback.....Chris Chambers stats would have looked like this: 12 catches 245 yards.

8. Zach Thomas: vintage Zach...he does this for 4 more years....he is a LOCK for the HOF. It will be tough for him to stay this good for 4 more years though.

9. Lance Shulters: What a stud. On his interception...he shrugged it off...by saying "He threw it right at me." He lied. We were in a quarters coverage...and his responsibility was the tightend...he read the play perfectly and left the tightend wide open to cheat into the zone where the ball was eventually going....spectacular read.....Delhomme threw the slant...Shulters knew it was coming....BALLGAME.

10. Nick Saban: Always involved....talks to ALL OF THE UNITS. Always coaching....Always in his players face after a play and always encourages the younger guys...a pattern here....he rips the Vets that should know better....he reinforces the confidence of the younger guys...that need it. Like I said before...WE HIT BIG WITH OUR HEAD COACH.

We are pretty good guys....there is no reason why we can't be a wildcard team.

Very well done, Section. Nice analyses.

Nice write-up Section....

One comment: How was Frerotte "efficient" when he only completed 14/33 passes (42%).
I guess he was "efficient" in the sense that he really made his 14 completions count.

Great Post,my thoughts exactly

Great job...Now if you could only post the game for download somehow!...

This right here is just classic. 12 for 245 just classic.

Right on. To put things in perspective, Trent Dilfer was something like 20 for his first 21 yesterday for the Browns, yet they only mustered 6 points the whole game vs the Colts. (on two FG's no less)

Thanks, nice post. One note, McKinney needs to cut down on the penlties, it will cost us a game if he is not careful.

Schulters did not leave the TE wide open. The TE stayed in to block which left Schulters free to do what he wanted.

That's straight from Schulters' mouth

And that was because of all the blitzing we did all game. That's how you play "offense" with your defense.

All good except that ,imo, Madison didn't play ok but terrible in giving up 11 catches, 170 yds. to Steve smith.
On Schulters, the coverage you called was right except from what I remeber, Mangum stayed in to help pick up the blitz. Schulters was then able to read Delhomme, who never saw him, and made an otherwise easy pick. But definitely heads up ball tho.

But adding to your list, one of the absolute heads up plays of the day came from Welker when he fielded that squib kick off. He watched it and as it appeared to [probably] make it into the endzone, he fielded it with one foot out of bounds. Out comes the flag and we get the ball on the 40 instead of the 20! Again, heads up ball!

Wow. Great read man.

Positivity coming from you? Man, now I really believe!

Madison might have looked OK to you on TV, but I focused on him every defensive snap. He was far from OK. Howard, fortunately, played on only 50% of the defensive downs (my guesstimate). Yeah, he sucked, but that isn't unexpected. Madison looking like a 7th round rookie is unexpected.

I just don't get how anyone can say he did okay. Other with staying on his man on some routes - maybe half, he did nothing. Not in run support, not in pass defensed.
