We have gotten our beloved game of football back and fans have acted like we just went 1-15 and in less than one week of practice the world is over because of the erratic play from one position, our QB more specifically Chad Henne. I read everything from what an excuse our front office and owner are, to fans chant "we want Orton" at an open practice. Have you ever stopped to think that just maybe the reason Henne is have such a hard time is because he is going against the possible #1 defense in the league and at the worse top 5. We all seem to agree our defense is the best its been in years, we are young, fast, and definitely aggressive making life difficult for even the best Qb's in this league. Last year, Aaron Rodgers the superbowl MVP was sacked 5 times at Lambeau in a loss and didn't look like the player who finished the season holding the Lombardi trophy. That's what pressure and this defense can do to you, make even Aaron Rodgers look very Henne-esque and we have only got better on that side of the ball. This is not a post is not an endorsement or to suggest that Chad Henne will become the second coming of Dan Marino, he most definitely has his flaws but is it possible that our own dominating defense exacerbates them even more???

Top 5 defense correct...prob bottom 10 in offense....Chad Henne at QB.....Sparano's back..same old conservative offense..... 7-9 maby 8-8...GET EXCITED!

if thats the case, then why dont qbs like roethlisberger, flacco, etc have such a tough time at practice? not an excuse.

What makes you think they don't struggle, do you follow the Ravens and Steelers practices?? Ever think they handle the pressure better because they continuously go against the elite defenders in this league. Big Ben has been in the league 8 years in his 3rd season he threw 18 tds to 23 interceptions.

So you think Daboll runs Henning's Offense? Or you dn't ahve a clue because we haven't played a game yet?

This. Not only do people know all the moves and contacts that are going on behind the scenes, but now people know the offense we're going to run. The inside info these guys have is amazing. Sarcasm

You stop that now. You're making too much sense. You're supposed to be acting off of raw, illogical emotion.

This should be making Henne better, not worse

Hopefully it does but when you have a terrible OC like we did last year. Honestly, I'm not trying to make excuses for Henne. If he fails he fails and we will move on. I remember watching a game last year when Rich Gannon couldn't beieve the calls we were making. 3rd and 12 I formation and a play action pass. First thing out of his mouth is "Who called that play? You just setting henne up to fail"

I think Tony Sparano hired an OC to run the type of offense he likes. RUN RUN RUN...CONSERVATIVE. Why dont you look at Dabolls last two years as OC as well. Not good enough for the Browns but good enough for the Sparano and the Dolphins....I hope we can open it up this year on offense. I am not giving Sparano the benefit of the doubt though like some are.

Sporano has stated that he will not change his offensive philosophy even though Ross has stated that he does not want to see the same old 3 yards runs. Do you really think that Daboll will change radically what the head coach wants?

If the only thing you had with the Browns is Hillis and a pretty good young o-line wouldn't you run the ball? I mean who were there Receivers? TEs? QBs? McCoy didn't look too bad but really who did they have? Stuckey, Cribbs, Engram, Moore Massaquoi. They all suck. He had Hillis, leading rusher and 2nd leading receiver on that team.

Now he has a Bush, Marshall, Bess, Fasano, Hartline, and Thomas to work with. Lets see what he does here before you no what he does. Good coaches change their philosopy to what their strengths are. LEts see what he does.

You can have the same philosopy and excute it better. You can be a smash mouth team and still throw. Look at the 90's Cowboys.
