I don't know who was telling the original poster that the Week 17 Detroit game was all dink and dunk but that wouldn't be my assessment.

I got to watch the Detroit game this year and just got done watching the NE game. There is nothing about Flynn that convinces me that the fins should pay him 7-8 million per year. It's kinda a joke the fins constantly reach for other guys hand me downs. Draft a stud plain and simple. If you have to sell the farm to get one of the two big guns just do it and see if you can fill some gaps in FA. They need to make a splash at some point and take chances. Just saying... I can see the posts two years down the road trashing Flynn and the team being in the same position...

Exactly...Right now most here assume that just because we have Philbin, that he will want Flynn as his QB. BUT...it could be possible that Philbin does not believe that Flynn can be the franchise QB the Dolphins need. Time will tell, but if the Dolphins do not make a push for Flynn then it is fairly obvious what Philbin's assessment of Matt Flynn is.

This is exactly the case, one way or the other. Philbin has seen plenty of Flynn, and he is not going to take a chance on a QB that MIGHT be good. Philbin will either be sure that Flynn could be the real deal, and make a huge push for him, or we will see Miami going another direction....either way, I will feel sure the right decision was made.
