and I don't recall the last time I was this tired from cheering.

We are going to surprise alot of teams. I know it's only pre-season, but if we play like this during the season, we will have a winning record. Jason Allen was all over the field.

Excellent performance overall from the entire team. It's going to be tough to determine who goes and who stays.

The only player I didn;t really here of was Ernest Wilford.

I think he was too busy buying his plane ticket home to show up for the game.

Yeah i just watched too, and jason allen look really good, the return from ted ginn it was excellent.

again, we all know it is pre-season but it was the 3rd game and starters look pretty good, i am impressed with our progress and it only goes up from here. Hopefully Penny stays healthy and our progress looks very good by week 4

Same here, just watched it and I gotta say this year's D is better than last year's right now. I have no idea what Capers thought he was doing but the DBs couldn't cover nor tackle. Also last year the Backers were hesitant and lacked intensity. No such issues with this unit. I was impressed.

While I agree last year was a farce, you have to admit we were decimated with injuries in almost every position on defense. If I recall correctly, the only one who didn't come off the field with an injury was Will Allen. We played six different starting safeties last year, went through 4 cornerbacks, Roth, Holliday, Crowder, Zach Thomas, Porter, Truck, and Jason Taylor were all injured at one time or another, and in some cases - all at the same time. Rod Wright, Paul Soliai, and Quenton Moses were all getting their first-year reps. Admittedly, we had absolutely no depth at linebacker and insufficient depth on the D line.

That said, I wouldn't go so far as to discredit Capers for all of their performance woes. He is still credited for being one of the more creative defensive coordinators in the league. It's not a coincidence that he is with the New England Patriots this year (Special Assistant title contract loophole thing). We just didn't have enough of the talent, health, or players to fit the makeshift scheme. It's no wonder the secondary couldn't cover much when the line couldn't rush the passer. If we could not stop the run, we could not get off the field, the Defense gets tired, and any opposing offense is going to burn us with the pass. Happens every time.

I just saw it too...I was very impressed with our overall team performance. We still need to correct the stupid penalties (which have been haunting this organization since Wanny). If we can get those sorted out, I think that will be Sparano and Co's greatest accomplishment.

Pennington is the real deal. As a fan, I always hated him because he beat us. He never threw picks, he always made the right reads, and despite his arm strength, it seemed like he always hit his receivers in stride. Man, what a pick up by Parcells and Co. I think I remembered hearing that six teams were looking at him, I'm so glad he came here. We look like an offense that will impose itself on other teams. I remembered one play where he lead Fasano perfectly and he got drilled. And then there was the situation where he threw to perfect TD passes on the same drive. Peele should've made the play on his, but Pennington came back to get another.

Our offensive line was dominating. Our guys were pulling and we were punishing the other team. And then our defense was making some serious plays.

Ted Ginn is playing well. Man there are some amazing story lines associated with this team this year. Let's hope these positives carry over to the season.

Great win other then the penalties and the late TO's I was very happy, but I don't want to see a let down. I know we won't win every game, but as long as the improvments continue to come I'll be happy.

I just watched the game as well, I was impressed with our defense. Pennington looked good. Ted Ginn is getting better and better. Chad Henne didnt really throw the ball much, but I have noticed he tends to stare down his receivers too much at times, although he is a rookie.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm one of those who strongly believes without all of the injuries we were much better than a 1-15 team. But I won't sugarcoat the fact that it seemed Capers forgot how to call & coach a defense all of a sudden. I was excited when he became our D coord because of what he did w/ CAR & JAX and really wasn't too concerned with his Texans' defensive failures. But in retrospect it could be argued that if he doesn't have studs he struggles to game plan.
I'm saying, even if you have a defense w/ non-stars you can still produce a productive, attacking one. Last year's scheme had no rhyme or reason. And IMO the Taintriots made that move in anticipation of the Cheater getting a little free time.

I agree with most everyones sentiments. As mentioned earlier if wasn't for all the darm penalties we would've been excellent. It was great to see plays being made. I love how we went for the TD to Fasano after having the previous catch by Peelle fall incomplete. Loved how our D looked hungry..

We're are definitely going to surprise many people this season.

Get ready for all the bandwagoners, fairweather, and ahem.. national media types... but dont believe the hype... we'll hold it down here on FH and keep it real.

Actually, he isn't back in Miami yet because he kept dropping his plane ticket, so they have to send someone back up to get him.
