There was a discussion on the suh effect in the AFC east. It is called the Suh Virtual playbook. It was pretty interesting. The first segment was with Merril Hodge. There was also a discussion with Teddy Bruschi and Tim Hasselback afterwards. Bruschi basically said that the bills still have the best dline in the afc east with the resigning of Jerry hughes.. Also that they are the best team behind the pats in the afc east because of the addition of rex ryan, clay, and mccoy lol...it is what it is.. But tim hasselback pretty much made sense with his stance, that tannehill is the second best qb in our division by far, and that suh will create alot of issues up the middle that will make brady uncomfortable. He also mentioned jordan cameron to replace clay's lost.

But i got to thinking and is teddy right?

Bruschi obviously is biased but is he right about the bills having the better dline still? My friend is a bills fan and hes saying the same thing with hughes, mario williams, and dareus being the front up there..

Buffalo is definitely scary because of McCoy and Clay being added. I expect them to be in contention of a playoff spot for sure.

I have a feeling once Marcel Dareus gets paid, he will go into the tank some. He has already had a few issues with maturity. Kyle Williams is really good but he has had back issues as well. Mario Williams will now be asked to be an outside linebacker in Rex's scheme ,I believe, and when he played that position in Houston, his play fell off as compared to when he was in the 4-3. He also wasn't happy in that role. There is no doubt that they have a lot of talent on their defensive line, but it isn't like there is no questions whatsoever how they will perform in the new scheme.

I've been saying for a couple of years now that the Bills have the most talented roster in the division top to bottom, they just don't have a QB. When you're picking top 10 for a decade that happens.

I don't think re-signing Hughes is a big deal especially since he failed as an OLB in a 3-4 before moving to DE when he went to Buffalo. McCoy is also not a power back and Rex likes to run a power running game so we'll have to see if Rex is changing philosophy on offense. I can see Clay filling the roll that Dustin Keller had in Rex's offenses early on with the Jets. I can also see Rex having some early success in Buffalo before he trashes that team the same way he trashed the Jets.

Bruschi, Jason LaConfora and Heath Evans are Patriot slurpers and Phin haters. Take it with a grain of salt. We have the second best QB in the division and I think that puts us closer to winning the AFCE this upcoming season.

As we know, not having a QB kills you no matter how good the rest of your roster is. I'm honestly more afraid of the Jets than Bills because Ryan Fitzpatrick can at least be average, whereas Matt Cassell and Manuel are just horrible.
It doesn't matter, we're going to split with the AFC East again as usual and I still don't think there's a very good chance that any AFC East team besides the Pats makes the playoffs this year. I feel like we have the best chance between us, the Bills and the Jets because we have the best chance at having a very good quarterback WITH a good defense, but we're still not demonstratively better than the Bengals, Steelers, Ravens, Chiefs or Chargers, and neither are the Bills or Jets... We better hope we draft two big difference makers with our first 2 picks.

To be honest, we are better on the DL now but Buffalo still has a better DL than us.
However, we have a better roster and QB IMO.

I think Buf has the best DL, Miami could be 3rd behind us. I think all 3 are close though, all 3 should have incredible DLs.

I can't watch the NFL Network this off season. I keep throwing up all over the screen when I see pats players spewing their pro cheats BS and that's pretty much all the time. But I'd say the Bills have the baddest front 7 in the division until proven otherwise, and no one player is going to change that.

It's so disgusting how they constantly talk about Brady and Belicheat nonstop!! Roman nailed it earlier, Heath Evans to me just sickens me with his rants! I can't stand mediocre players like Evans was, critiquing players that were 10X better than he was!!! I really wish Heath Evans would pull a Sapp and get himself fired!!!

I had to read it a couple times, but I think what he was saying that we are better on the DL with Suh now than we have been in the past, but still not better than the Bills. At least that's what I think

This may be true but even with the second best qb in the division, both the bills and jets have a habit of beating us. Yep!! Even with immortals like Geno Smith and that bills qb..., errr..., uuhhhh, no, not that guy, wait...., what are their names?

They beat us. In their place, at our place, with this qb, that qb, good players, bad players, 12-4 or 4-12 record, THEY BEAT US!!!!!

Lots of folks talking about McCoy, he won't be good with the bills, isn't a power back, blah...blah...., the kid is a monster talent and has made them much better!! The bills talent on their defense was best in our division and now they have the second best defensive mind in the business next too billichek in Rex Ryan. That spells NIGHTMARE for the rest of the AFC east.

Bills have an all around better defensive line. Suh is better than any of their dt's but outside of Suh, we have a vastly over rated, one season wonder Olivia Vernon, Mitchell, who should be a relief player in the DT rotation and not Suh's full time tag team partner with only Cam Wake being the only big talent on that line.

Line up the bills d-line names and compare and as of right now, they easily get the nod.

I won't cry if if Malcolm Brown or Danny Shelton are chosen at #14. The bills and browns and bucs, teams with with big time dt's are great defenses because they can get pressure and sacks with their front 4 and when you can do that, your defense doesn't have to constantly blitz its lb's or dB's and gives a coordinator a mass amount of flexibility in the scheme.

Corner is still my hope for #14 but if they go DT getting brown or Shelton, I fully understand why and would welcome it. By the end of September the haters would all have forgotten about that WR or LB they were slobbering over.

So, I know people are shaking their heads on the bills and writing them off not having big time qb, but remember, qb or no qb, they beat us with regularity. Who they beat, who they don't makes no difference to me, only if they beat US!! They can have all the talent in the world and I don't care as long as we beat them. That hasn't been the history though over the last 20 years.

Bills are down right Scarry and have improved their team immensely.
