Justin Smiley Retires

Can't find any fault with someone who chooses to walk away from the game as opposed to going through the motions and possibly letting his team down in the process. Best of luck to him.

Michael

Good guy, injuries really hampered his career . . . could see him give it a go in 2012 but I agree, there is nothing wrong with cashing in while you're in your 20's and retiring a millionaire before the age of 30. He can spend his days going fishing and still have plenty of money in the bank. Can't knock him for that. These guys have 4 year college educations. Why put your body through the football grind and take years off your life when you can sit comfortable. Can't blame him at all. Wish him well.

Goes to also show how many injury riddled players we've been keeping around here lately. Ronnie, Smiley, Pennington, Crowder, Grove, and Allen just to name a few.

One thing that was swept under the rug a bit with all the Sparano/Harbaugh mess is that the Fins got rid of the trainer staff. Good riddance . . .our OLine has had more nagging injuries and season ending injuries than I can remember.

Nice attitude mate and I totally agree. I wish him all the best, afterall he was a part of the playoff run in 2008 and his run blocking was a large factor in that high point of the decade.

Best of luck to him, great guy. However how many broke linemen have we brought in over the last few years here, that break again (big surprise) and end up calling it quits? I am tired of bringing in beaters a driving them until the wheels fall off, especially when that happens during the season.

Last year was ridiculous. Good to hear we got rid of those bums. Same ones who messed up with Pep/Brees?

One of my favorite acquisitions, better than avg guard (Frank Gore should seed his pension fund).. and a nice transitional influence on young Jake. Best of luck in whatever your future endeavors, Justin.

He was always a fierce blocker and did Alabama proud during his time here.... good luck to you son. RTR.
