So, draft guru's. Do we pick up a compensation pick for losing a starting RT. He only played three games due to injury, so does anyone know?

No...the 1st free agent we sign cancels that transaction out.

It’s based MOSTLY on contract value which puts the compensation at 3rd round pick. However it was right on the cusp of 3rd/4th and thus his lack of playing time bumps him down to a 4th.

It is not correct that Miami’s first free agent signing (Fitzpatrick) canceled the James pick. That is not the case.

Miami should also expect a 7th for Brandon Bolden.

Most touts have us receiving a 4 and a 6 (or 7).

But we won't know for sure for awhile yet.

Ryan Fitzpatrick canceled the Cameron Wake pick. Eric Rowe canceled the Frank Gore pick.

What's left are the losses of Ja'Wuan James and Brandon Bolden. The former PROBABLY nets a 4th (although there's still a slight hope he nets a 3rd) and the latter should net a 7th.

Why is there no comp for Wake?

Disappointing comps. The injuries to Wake and James hurt us.
But flip side- smart decision not to resign James.

The injury to Wake didn't end up mattering. Ryan Fitzpatrick was going to cancel that pick regardless.

The Fins are projected to get a 4th for James and a 7th for Bolden.

I didn’t realize the calculation was straight up against individual players - figured was cumulative. ie better a lost player performs increases the loss..

BTW, do not expect ANY comp picks for 2021 as we won't lose much if any players and we will get several free agents this off season.
