I just watched a recording of the North South game, with KJ, Roth,Daniels and Berlin all playing. I thought it funny when the commentator said Roth's shirt was ripped to pieces where he had been held all day. Kj also didn't do bad, lining up as a wr on certain downs. The question I wanted to ask though, was how do they select players for the game, I know the coaching staff for each team is offered to the two teams drafting first, but I have no idea how the players are selected.

I have the game on tape and I thought that KayJay played pretty bad that game.....I credit that performance for why he went undrafted.

On a similar note.....I was watching the NFL Rookie Premier on NFL network and when they were discussing Matt Jones they flashed to some clips of him at the Senior Bowl practices and in one he goes up for one in the endzone over a DB who can do nothing to stop him, our very own Travis Daniels. I hope that clip wasn't indicative of what we can expect form him.

I am not sure about this but I think that the top players in the country are sent invitations.I dont think there is a formula but it seems to me they are selected from All American lists and conference leaders.

I think Matt Jones will dominate pretty much everyone in the red zone. I think 6-8 TD's for him this year is not out of the question. I wouldn't worry about Daniels too much from that clip.

Matt Jones will be a MAJOR BUST.

I have to agree. The only reason why Jones got to be drafted so high was because he is very tall and fast. He catches quite a bit with his body, not his hands. I do think that he is gonna be just an end zone guy and nothing else.

I think he might end up being some sort of ST maven, when it's all said and done, but as far as WR, yeah, I think you're right.

Its unusual for cornerbacks to develop to pro level straight away. There is a learning curve with CB,s. Adjustment to covering NFL WR's week in, week out takes time. You will see that alot of cornerbacks have quite a few yrs under their belt before they become solid. Bringing them in on nickel formations are the norm when it comes to first seasons in the NFL. Top WR rookies tend to start sooner than later.

Last time I checked arkansas still was a pretty bad team with him....

he may or may not be a good player but one person cant turn a team around it takes team work

Thanks for your input on M Jones guys but does anyone know how people are invited to the senior Bowl--just curious thats all :) Also i would like to know how you feel about Swancutt, who Ithought was the star of the bowl and was only drafted in the 6th rnd,------------ 5 rnds behind roth

Swancutt was taken in the 6th rnd by Detroit--IMO he had a far better game than Roth but roth was picked in the 1st rnd

wasn't cris carter only known for catching touchdowns? maybe mike i mean matt jones will turn out to have good hands and be a monster in the red zone.

Roth was not picked in the 1st, we got him in the middle of the second with the surtain pick,

Matt Jones may body catch , but then hes been a WR for what 6 months. Oh and the catch against Daniels, I believe he caught that with ONE hand. I will not bash the guy, I think his potential is off the chart. Whether he can turn that into a game remains to be seen, but a guy what 6'6 242lbs that runs a sub 4.4 40 is INSANE!!! If he can learn to play the position he could become one of the most dominant WR's in the league(or he could be the next Ryan Leaf) I really dont think there is a grey area for this guy. Its either "go big or go home"
