Probably a smart decision on his part. The first year following a coaching change can be risky for a skill position player, especially when the previous coach was unearthed following a three-year retirement.

he's a big arm, he's very raw, but i bet some team moves up to get him... kind of like a Flacco...
He wont be a 1st round pick, but he could go early-mid 2nd...

Freeman is intriguing but agreed that the phind don't need him.

Though, if Ireland could sucker Detroit or Seattle into a 2010 6th for Beck then Freeman would be my 2nd choice after Ganz from Nebraska.

Ganz IMO s/b available on day 2.
