They should be able to. If designated a post June 1st cut, he saves $14M while leaving only $4-5M in dead money

He’s so impressive! His tackling is staggering because he’s a small guy - but man is he tough. Wes Weller strong is how I think of him - some guys who are physically smaller in stature are strong amongst the strongest - that’s Kahou - KING Kahou - I am really amazed by his strength and technique in tackling - he’s taken down big backs - tight ends - so cool!!!
It's truly a magnificent occurrence to have an undrafted rookie playing so tremendously. I hope he's soaking up every bit of this magical season for him.

Just remember... there would be dead money in 2024 as well. It isn't like we'd save 14m in total... the post June cut just splits the hit between 2 years.
Is it then 4 million each year?

I dont have the numbers in front of me, but in general... it works like this.
If you cut/trade a player prior to June 1st, all the monies that you have previously paid him in bonuses, (but have not been accounted for against the cap) are due immediately.
If you wait til after the new league year, (June 1st), then the remainder will be due the following year.
It isn't always a half and half situation. For instance if a player has 2 years remaining on his contract (after june 1st), you'd pay one third now and two thirds next year.

Not to rain on Kader's parade, but how many snaps have the other 2 had? He's been impressive so far, but it seems most of his snaps have been against 'lesser' passers.
