"The Kansas City Star reports the Chiefs have shopped Larry Johnson.
Run him into the ground, then move him; sounds good. Johnson still has plenty of value of course, although teams looking to acquire him will be on the hook to sign Johnson long term. The Chiefs may just want to avoid a big contract squabble, but L.J. probably won't be traded in the end."

"...the Chiefs are offering in trades quarterback Trent Green, starting safety Greg Wesley, kick returner Dante Hall and even running back Larry Johnson."

Would be the dumbest move in franchise history, don't be surprised if Green Bay and Buffalo starts calling.

Some kind of a smokescreen.

I have a saying for GM's around Draft time. "Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see."

Okay, so they force two HOF caliber linemen into retirement, cut another, trade their QB, trade their RB, trade the most prolific return man in their history, trade their starting safety, sign a bunch of veterans who will be out of the game in a few years...

Safe to say the Chiefs are WTF!?!?!'ing it up?
