Glad to win another game.

Defense (A-):
Played good, but generated 0 turnovers. Looks like they've turned the corner, though.

Offense (D+):
JH has 0 TD, 0 INT, 71.3 QB rating. First game with 0 interceptions. This is his highest rating of the year.

Ronnie Brown - nice 89 yards rushing. [corrected]

Chris Chambers - led dolphins in receiving. 3 catches for 66 yards.

***********
Game thoughts:
The dolphins won a game, in spite of losing the turnover battle (-1). I don't remember the last time this happened.

One thing that helped was only - 1 penalty for the whole game(Illegal Use of Hands - 3 yards and a first down).

KC chose Yeremiah Bell as the weakness(favorable matchup) of this defense, and tried to pick on him all day. It didn't work. Bell had 3 passes defended!

On offense, JH looked like a caretaker, with 200 yds passing. Ronnie Brown was a little under 5 YPC, but the dolphins stuck with him... and emerged with a victory.

The dolphins only allowed 1 sack. This was allowed by Randy McMichael. He has become a receiver playing tight-end. His blocking skills are inadequate. Did he lose weight this year?

Any time you finish with under 21 points, the offense was inadequate. It was good enough to win this game, but it was not very good. Still, if the offense had played at this level all season, we would have won a couple more games.

We should have had more points than what the scoreboard said. Inadequate or not it's water under the bridge now and we walked away with the W so the focus now: Vikings.

Correction - the dolphins were over 100 Yards, Ronnie was not.
R. Brown 25 carries 89 yards 3.6 YPC
S. Morris 6 carries 20 yards 3.3 YPC

Thanks Majpain.

Offensive coordinator = D-
Halfback pass with 2 yards to go and Ronnie was running VERY well. If he tucks it in and runs we get 4 more points.
Double reverse that was fumbled and nearly cost us the game. At that point with Ronnie running VERY well and late in the game, prove that Ronnie is THE MAN and stuff him down their throats.
When will Nick Saban realize that Olindo Mare can't make any "tough" kicks.
But give credit to Mularkey on the flea flicker, having the o-line scream "DRAW" was a stroke of genius. I originally thought that the defense yelled it.

glad we got the win......want the defenbse to stay at this level and our offense to pick it up a bit

we did stop a very good team avg 31 pt in their last three....and their only td came after our turnover and great field position

I thought defensively we owned the Chiefs all day. Their TD was almost a gimme, but I will get into that in a minute. I read that some people said the offense was inadequate but I dont agree. Joey did move us close enough for a field goal and that should have been 3 more points and Chambers, imo, would have could have come down in bounds and should have been called a force out that would have been 4 more points, difference between a field goal and a td on that drive, so that gets us to 20 right around the magical 21 that someone quoted as a good offensive day. Now the Chiefs TD. That was one of the all time dumbest offensive calls that lead to the fumble and the eventual TD. There was 6 minutes left to go in the game and it is a 2 possesion game. Run the ball 3 times and punt. Play defense which was killing them all day. Gadgetry has its place but not there that was a very bad play call. IF you milk the clock all the way down on 3 plays and then punt there would be right around 3 minutes left to go in the game. It just made me sick. I wanted to speak on Joey as a caretaker of the offense during the game, I disagree. He made several big third down throws which doesnt really define the caretaker status. He also missed some wide open throws which made me want to wretch, lol but all in all Joey played very well. He did not throw the backbreaking int that I kept looking for. Lastly, when we had them at 3rd and 18 on their three or two and that pass got completed to Kennison, I broke a glass in my living room, my wife was so mad at me. It was a great throw and pretty good coverage but I could just feel that game start to slip away. Im so glad it didnt. I know the NFL is incredibly competitive but 2 wins in a row against playoff caliber teams we should have no excuses to not win the majority of our games that we have left.

Good read, Joey played decent, but he had a few bad throws.
The playcalling was bad, that stupid reverse won't work if the defense knows its comming.

Was it just me or was that the exact same play we ran week 4 against the Texans for the 2-point conversion attempt - with Daunte at QB - that also failed?

Nick needs to learn how to finish a game. When running well, you keep running. Why get fancy when Ronnie and the OL are doing well? I just don't get it.

we exposed Huard yesterday, he was staring down his WRs yesterday and our DBs broke up every play

I think stopping Larry Johnson was huge in the victory. WIthout that the playaction pass and screens weren't as effective.
