Heard a rumor similar to a trade scenario I came up with a couple weeks ago. The rumor I heard was that booker could be a part of the deal for Trent Green. http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?t=190780&highlight=PHAZINPHINZPHAN

This is the rumor link http://www.rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.aspx?sport=NFL
Miami has Derek Hagan waiting in the wings and will add to its wide receiver group over the weekend, though one hitch is that Booker was paid a $600,000 bonus in March. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel says Booker could be part of a draft-day Trent Green deal with Kansas City. Apr. 26 - 9:01 am et

Give KC nothing and he will be released they don't want to pay a 37 year old QB, $7.2 million. He refuses to negotiate with other teams and they won't trade with KC without a new contract. So KC has no leverage and we can pick him up after his release.

I think you are 100% right, why is our FO giving anything more then the 7th thay stated before, he will be a Dolphins next season regardless. Wait for them to release him, save the picks and Booker.
:tantrum:

Agreed.

I agree. However the only flaw in that logic is that the Chiefs could possibly hold onto Green until June 1st to spite the Dolphins. That is a whole month that we could have had Green on the roster learning the system and getting familiar with the offense and the players around him. While it's true that Green is familiar with Cameron's system and he's an accomplished QB who probably wont have much difficulty stepping into the system and running it effectively, it's still a month he lost where he could be working on timing with WRs and things of that nature. I'm not opposed to sending a 7th to KC. Or at the very most a 6th. But I think the fins are getting roped into giving up too much if they give a pick and Booker to get Green.

Playing Hardball w/ Carl Peterson.

He caved before in the Surtain trade. If I were Mueller, I'd CP the very best you can hope for is Marty & a 6th. Otherwise, you are SOL.

Green needs to be here for the minicamp after the draft. We need to get him working with the receivers ASAP if we want to have a successful offense this year. We should give up a 6th with a conditional pick, or give up Booker since he will most likely be gone after this season.

lets do : Booker, #40, #71 for Green and #23....
we trade down from #9 to#14 to get the 2nd back.... so we have
14 and 23 to nab Staley/Ginn/Nelson/Carriker etc. and still two 2nd rounders
