Kc Wants Matt Ryan?

The Chiefs sent the largest contingent of representatives to Boston College QB Matt Ryan's Pro Day Tuesday.

The Chiefs pick fifth overall in April. Teams are always posturing and smokescreening this time of the year, but it wouldn't be a surprise if K.C. took Ryan with its first-round pick. Especially if Jake Long is off the board.

Like I stated...there's more than one team that wants a QB. Grab one now...there's not many coming out in the next couple years...thats worth a hoot.

Right now...Atlanta, KC and the Ravens...are the top teams...needing a QB. You could also add the Jets...Bears and Carolina...as possible players.

Isn't their GM that Peterson guy? I remember him trying to hold our feet to the flames over the Trent Green deal. We need to screw him over. :lol:

This is no shock, especially if Jake is off the board as they say. They finally got a good WR in BuDwayne Bowe (got mixed up there thanks motion :p), and have LJ still, but their OL fell apart last year and their QB situation is perhaps muddier than ours. However, I cant fathom them trading up to get him sadly.

Still, with all the interest in Ryan these days, it might garner us a trade. And I also dont think we should discount us off his bandwagon either.

I think you mean Dwayne Bowe, Davis went to SD.
 
Why wouldn't they ? There's a decent chance that Ryan could fall to their spot at #5 and they probably want to see if he if for real and worth drafting there vs. another guy they've already scouted. Would they try to move up to get him ? Don't read too much into numbers or rumors that are leaked out by teams at this time of year. Everyone is trying to smokescreen everyone else. Who knows, they could be doing this to worry a couple teams behind them into thinking they are going to take him so they have to trade up to get him.

Cantwell, Painter, Tebow, Boeckman, Harper, McCoy, Stafford, Sanchez, Perriloux? There seems to be a few good QB coming out in the next couple of years...

The only reason you think that there isn't any is because most of these QBs are young and haven't had the playing time to drive their stock up yet. Who would've pictured two years ago that Matt Ryan would be in consideration for the #1 pick this year?

Tebow will never be a NFL QB...if he doesn't change his play. The kid from LSU will be lucky if he's drafted. McCoy..I assume you mean the kid from Texas...not great in any way...like I wrote...the QB's coming out..are weak at best.
 
Well, we don't know what is coming out next year, nobody here heard of Matt Ryan until this year. Somebody will get hot and become the talk of the draft just like every year.
