I was cautiously optimistic this past week when we spanked Denver. But, when we lost to the Jets, it really stunk. Keep in mind that Bill Bellichik's record as head coach his first season in NE was 5 - 11. Remember BB was not a rookie coach then and had been in the NFL as assistant. People need to realize this ship will take time to get turned around. There are so many threads that have been evaluating talent as a bust or whatever. We have so many new schemes and ways of doing things, that our players will take time to master. Chill out and just know that we are heading in the opposite direction as we were when the previous regime had control. That loss was much easier to stomach even if it was the Jets just knowing that Saban would not come out at his press conference and make apologies for every mistake and swear everything was fine ala Wannstedt. Relax and enjoy the process.

You are not going to get through to all the "chicken littles" on this board.

People on this board are ridiculous when it comes to panicking and lack of patience. They probably use a fire extinguisher or call 911 if a candle flame gets too high on their patio.

Good post. I think we'll be better than 5-11, but I know that's not your point. I've been trying to say this too - Rome was not built in a day, and St. Nick can't solve all of the problems in one off season, especially when he was handicapped in the draft thanks to Wanny & Co. (i.e. having to trade Surtain for our non-existent 2nd rounder ... hmm .... where did that 2nd rounder go anyways :rofl3: )

We will be very dangerous, starting next year. And in a few weeks, no one will really want to play us THIS year.

It mostly has to do with the age of some ppl here. There are a lot of young ppl on this MBoard. The young are generally very impatient and think they deserve everything yesterday.

You are a rare person DD-28. Your kind of insight usually is not found when someone is in their late 20's or early 30's.

yea, i'm getting kind of tired of everyone panicking because we lost one game to a pretty good jets team, especially in new york. also on the subject of ronnie brown being a bust, keep in mind kevin jones of detroit was not very good early on last season, and began to step it up tremendously towards the end. (i should know i had him on my fantasy team :D ) give ronnie some time, cadillac has better vision than ronnie that was already declared even before the draft. vision can in a sense be taught and honed through practice and game situations, ronnies 4.3 speed and great hands out of the backfield cannot. also keep in mind that caddy had a helluva lot more experience in college than ronnie, hurting us now but hurting caddy down the road.

Thanks.

LOved this post!! I am getting tired of people sinking the Dolphins after one loss. I would love to win the rest of the games this year but chances are that's not going to happen. Saban has the team walking down the right path, but it will take some time to correct all of the mistakes of the previous administration and some time for the players to feel fully comfortable and confident in Saban's system and Linehan's offense. Give it time folks I think the Dolphins will once again be a dominate team! :)

great post dude, im getting tired of all these fair-weathered finfans that label people as a bust and r already second guessing our coaching after 2 games,.... 2 GAMES!!! people need to be patient, were going in the right direction and i have all the faith in the world in saban and his decisions.

that said we need to cut reggie howard, but thats for another thread :D

And keep in mind Jimmy Johnson's 1-15 Cowboys!...A team that had Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin at the time.

i will agree......evryone i know is a total flip flopper..... we have three starting rookies and a barely improved same offensive line but with a rookie running through the small holes.... were gonna be a team to reckon with but maybe just not this year are we gonna race for the superbowl

I agree with you...we will be a playoff team as early this year or as late as next year.

Great post...I guess all the people that are posting about the gloom and doom, he's a bust and so forth were expecting us to run the table and go 19-0 after last weeks win against Denver.
