Nothing has stopped them from doing it since 2000. Atleast Fielder was decent and lasted more than a season. Now Pennington? This is terrible. People win Super Bowls by drafting and developing their QB's, not other team's garbage.
 
Dont Forget We got Henne! He will be our starter next year if Beck doenst prove it this year
 
I wouldn't exactly say Pennington is trash...you ever heard the saying one man's trash is another man's treasure? I think you'll shortly find the Jets made a BIG mistake acquiring Favre and putting so much faith in him that they would ditch their QB, so a division rival could pick him up.

your a douche bag, why would any dolphin fan come on and talk shi*.... I think its a great pick up for Miami. Chad P is head and shoulders better than anyone on the roster now. Chad H will be there soon but not yet. Chad P has killed us for years...

And how come I had you on the pine a couple of days this week in my fantasy league and you go yard in back to back games. Of course as soon as I put you back in you cant even get a hit.
 
We got two potential franchise QBs on our roster. Penny is just the vet to hold the reigns til one of them takes over. I think this is just you being a nervous troll about Miami having a 'solid' vet on the team finally.
 
Chad is the one QB who has had our number consistently for the last decade - this was good for us.
 
Like someone else already said, we have Beck and Henne and they don't have to be on the field to develop. Pennington is just a stop gap to get the offense going. We have a lot of talent at positions we need to develop, not just QB. And they're not going to develop if they're led by a QB who can't pick up first downs or get them the ball. Pennington can do that now, and when Beck or Henne develop and are able to take over, they will.

And as for picking up other teams' trash? You gotta get players somewhere. With the draft already passed, moves like this is pretty much the only realistic way we can improve. And I think it's safe to say we did, no matter how minor, we're a better team with Pennington, and we didn't have to give up anything for him, only money form the huge cap space we have, and it's a short contract anyways.

Hopefully Beck or Henne can become one of those players
 
I understand the point of the post and the frustration . . Though you could look at this in a much more positive light. Also, it seems to me that there is a football team up north in the Boston area, who is that, oh yeah, The Patriots, who pick up a lot of players off of the waiver wire and do OK with them - Junior Seau, Lamont Jordan, Jabbar Gaffney, Larry Izzo, plus they have even pulled off a trade or 2 for some players that other teams didn't want too much. You think they were happy that they gave up a 4th for Randy Moss?

It depends on what you do with it.

If you are a Fin Fan you just dont join and start dogging a decision by your team, if your a fan you join the forum because your excited and see potential in your team...you're a troll from another forum, probably a freightened little Jet troll trying to make real Dolphin fans hate the trade. To bad we are smarter than that so go back and troll the Patsies sites.
